“As expected, Minho,” Chan let out a sigh and as he look at the other pair of eyes infront of him, he could never not feel sorry for his dear friend.  “… Seungmin lost his memories.’

As those words left Chan’s mouth, Minho internally sigh. He is glad that Seungmin have awaken from his coma but the only problem now is the misunderstanding. The only proof Minho have to prove himself innocent of the case is Seungmin himself but now Seungmin lost his memories and to make the situation worst, MInho knows for a fact that his younger brother won’t let this slide so easily.

“It’s okay, bro. I believe in you.” Chan reassured as if he can read what Minho is feeling right now. Minho gently massage  his temple. The problem is getting big somehow. Now how is he going to earn trusts from the other to prove himself is really innocent?

As Minho is still thinking of a way, suddenly the door in front of him opened and a guy which as known as their great friend showed up. He has that confused look when he saw Minho is there too. Changbin looks at Chan with a look of wanting an answer. Minho is witty enough to read the situation well and before he know it, his voice come first, calling the other with a cold tone.

"Changbin.*

Changbin swift his eyes to Minho from Chan, noticing the unusual tone in Minho's voice, he lift a brow, asking "What?" without a voice.

Minho feels offended by the way his friend is acting cold towards him. He understands why he is like this but still, the feeling could not less appear. He want to explain it all but how could they believe him now.

Minho gulps. "How's Seungmin?" Changbin breaks his eye contact with Minho. Minho can see how Changbin roll his eyes and click hos tongue by the question.

"Are you here just to confirm he's alive so that you could try an attempt to kill him again?" Changbin asks sarcastically. The way he speaks and the way he behaves makes Minho boils his blood. He is slightly hurt and mad at the same time. "It was all misunderstanding," he said, "I never meant to hurt Seungmin."

"As if." Changbin reply, mockingly. He then walk past Minho shoulder by shoulder, walking straight through the hallway with both of his hands inside the pocket. When he is finally away and out of sight from Chan and Minho, his facial expression suddenly change to an apologetic one. While taking out a piece of paper from his pocket, he stare at the digits written before he finally let out a deep sigh. "I'm sorry, Minho. It's for your own good."

Chan who witness how Minho looks sadly to the floor with his head down, places his hand on Minho's shoulder, reassuring him it will be fine. " I think it was the best idea for you to not meet Seungmin right now since Felix is still inside." H e will surely inhibits you to come in."

Minho on the other hand, stay quiet for a long time, before he made up his mind and sit on the chair nearby. "I'll sneak in after Felix come out." Minho says whilst putting his hood on.

" Okay, I'll let you know if Felix's gone." Chan reply before he entered the room where Seungmin was placed.

After an hour of waiting, finally the door of the room clicked opened. Ho pulls down his hood down as down as possible to cover his face from being seen. He can see from the corner of his eyes that two person are coming out from the room and Minho is sure the two person are no other than Chan and Felix themselves.

Minho lift up his head carefully to see Felix is already walking ahead of Chan through the hallway. When Minho's eyes recognise Chan, Chan give him a thumb up, giving him the green light to enter the room now. Minho quickly understand and nods.

When both of Chan and Felix finally out of his sight, Minho rise up and walk towards the door and let himself in.

As Minho entered the room, he found Seungmin sitting on the edge of the bed, staring out of the window. The room was filled with an awkward tension, as memories of their past conflicts lingered in the air.

Seungmin turned to look at Minho, his expression blank. There was no recognition in his eyes, just a curious gaze. Minho hesitated for a moment before deciding to break the silence.

"Seungmin, it's me, Minho," he said cautiously, trying not to sound too desperate. Seungmin continued to observe him without any sign of acknowledgment.

"Do I.... know you?"

Seungmin's question hung in the air, and Minho felt a pang of anxiety. How could he explain their shared history, the bonds they had formed, and the accusations that had strained their friendship?

"You don't have to remember me." Minho says softly as he walk closer to Seungmin. He then take a seat beside Seungmin, attempting to choose his words carefully. "I'm nobody for you."

Seungmin's gaze remained distant, and Minho could sense the frustration building within him. The weight of the situation pressed down on Minho as he struggled to find a way to bridge the gap caused by Seungmin's lost memories.

"I just want you to know that whatever happened before, I never meant to hurt you," Minho continued, sincerity in his voice. "We were never be friends but, Seungmin. I care about you."

Seungmin's eyes remained fixed on the distant horizon outside the window, and Minho could feel the difficulty of reaching through to him. The room echoed with an uncomfortable silence, broken only by the distant sounds of the hospital.

As Minho searched for the right words, Seungmin finally spoke, his voice distant yet carrying a hint of curiosity. "If we weren't friends, why do I feel like there's something more than what you said?"

Minho took a deep breath, grappling with the complexity of their tangled past. "Sometimes, connections go beyond memories. We might not remember the moments, but the feelings linger. I want to be here for you, regardless."

Seungmin's expression shifted, showing a mix of confusion and vulnerability. Minho sensed a flicker of something familiar in his friend's eyes, a glimmer of the bond they once shared.

"I can't force you to remember, but I hope you can feel the sincerity in my words," Minho continued, his gaze steady. "Whatever happens, I'll respect your journey, even if it means starting anew."

The room held a quiet tension as Seungmin processed Minho's words. The weight of uncertainty and the challenges ahead loomed over them. Minho couldn't predict the outcome, but he knew he had to be patient and let the pieces fall into place, even if it meant rebuilding a connection that time had momentarily erased.
