Ashwin pov:

I woke up by the prevalent echoes of knocking through the room. It was pretty much dark, so I had to stumble across the room to reach the door. Upon opening it, I happened to see Arun who held a file in his hand and barged in.

He swiftly opened all the heavy curtains to reveal the buzzling city on the other side. The golden rays of sunshine caused me to scrunch my eyes.

"Get ready Ashwin", his monotonous sentence hinted something.

"Yeah, I will. But what's the matter?", I asked as I took a sip of the remaining bourbon from the glass bottle. The sinner liquid passed through my dry throat which still gave me its euphemistic feeling yet relieved me from all the stress.

"Don't you know? He has released all the video and it's surfacing in all platforms. Millions of views, tens and thousands of comments, It's already in the third page of the newspaper today"

He threw me a newspaper. I turned the pages to see the headlines.

Playboy batsman and his new girlfriend: Video of their secret meeting at hospital caught in camera, gains millions of views

"Bullshit", I shouted as I tossed the bottle on the floor that scattered into pieces.

"What the hell are you and your PR team doing?", I yelled at Arun.

"We did everything possible"

"What? To wait till that man release the video?", the veins popped in my temple.

"But, there's a good news. He didn't show her face, instead he blurred it. So no need to worry for that part", he continued.

"We expected all these right, why are you reacting like this?"

"I did know that but still... ok never mind. Did you get any calls from that woman?", I enquired.

"Who?", Arun lifted one of his thick eyebrows.

"That.. that woman, Madhuri? Nah... Malar, yeah Malar"

"I don't have her number dude. You do", I took my phone and opened it to reveal so many social media followers who tagged me in that video.

I avoided those and checked my call history and much to my surprise I didn't get any calls from her.

"She didn't call me", I said to Arun.

"Ohh good", Arun proceeded to call the room service and requested them to clean the mess in the room.

"But why?", I stared at my phone.

"Be happy that she didn't call you. I've called the room service. We'll soon go to our house before the reporters arrive", he then went out of the room.

Yeah, I should be happy that she didn't call me. I brushed off those thoughts and went to take a shower. After half an hour, I went out and Arun was waiting for me.
