It has been a month since,

Dhivya got married to Rahul.

A month since Ashwin and Malar crossed paths with each other.

Three weeks since Malar moved out of her parent's house.

Did I really meet Jerone? Nah. It might be another person.

"Adhu kanava nenava? (was it a dream or was it real?)"

"What dream?", Malar broke from her trail of thoughts when her classmate, Jessy interrupted her.

"Nothing. Just a random thought", she replied.

"Is that so, Goa poitu vandhadhu lerndhe nee oru maarkama irukiye, seri illaye?" ( You seem so off after coming from Goa)

Malar let out a sheepish smile while they both walked towards their apartment from the university.

They rented out a two bedroom apartment just two streets away from their university. The apartment itself was built in the early 1990s which immensely gave semi-vintage vibes.

Jessy turned on the television. It was the usual reality shows, movies of early 2000s and songs that was highly telecasted.

She switched to a news channel in which the show host was spilling entertainment news about celebrity gossips.

"It's been speculated that Tina, the rookie actress and the famous cricketer, Ashwin has called off their relationship"

"Not to mention that he has already been in a couple of relationships earlier"

"Such playboy", Jess blurted out as she was busy making sandwiches for both of them.

"Yeah, I also came across several gossips about him", said the latter.

"He is a good player, both in cricket and among women"

"I hope someone would break his heart so bad", Malar said closing her laptop.

After a long night of working on her research papers, Malar was dead tired. She badly wanted to take a quick nap and proceed to her part time job.

"Hey Jess, can you wake me up once you finish cooking that?", she pointed the bread coating with butter.

Malar walked towards her room.

The sunlight entered her room from outside, casted shadows of nearby buildings on the mustard wall. Bunch of devil's ivy near the window dominated the adjacent wall.

She drew the curtains close to each other and laid on the bed. Sleep soon took over her.

They both were drenched in the intoxicating rain that unleashed their desire for each other.

Eventhough the clothes maintained their justice of sticking with their bodies, their souls were naked which yearned to touch the untouched.

Droplets of rain from his coal black hair stained her face with newly found shyness.

She brushed her ruby red lips along his jawline only to earn a desperate moan from him.

Her hands smoothly glided from his collar bone to his freshly shaved face, now bloated with rainwater.

He leaned forward, not able to control his brimming impulse and craving to get a taste of her soul through her lips.

They hated the distance between them. They grew insane, their minds filled with the sole thought of absolute pleasure and bliss through their lips touching and locking.

At that moment, they paused. Looked deeply into each other's eyes, eagerly searched any traces of the thing what they're searching so far, so long.

Did they find what they badly need?
