AN: I used the name Havenbrook for the hometown because I like and it is not based around any certain town. I was thinking about doing different point of views but all depends on how well this story goes so will stick to one POV to start with. Enjoy:)

Julie's POV

I think I am the only student who isn't excited about going back to college, I love college but when I have other things on my mind it all becomes too stressful.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP... 6am is way to early for me to be getting up, I immediately slammed my palm down on the alarm to stop the loud noise. Even after my alarm waking me up my aunt still likes to shout at me..

"JULIE! PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE WAKING UP. I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO COME UP THERE WITH A CUP OF WATER!"

"Yes aunt Rachel I am up!" I sighed, for someone who doesn't normally care she sure makes sure I am up on time.

I dragged myself out of bed, showered, brushed my teeth, ate breakfast and got ready. I decided on an outfit which wouldn't draw so much attention such as black skinny jeans, plain white tshirt, converses and my plaid hoodie. I left my hair which went into natural waves that stopped just above my bum, the only problem with long hair is when it is windy. I decided to not wear makeup which made me look rather tired considering I had bags under my eyes.

On my walk to college I noticed one of my best friends Mark attempting to chat up yet another guy, yes Mark is gay and is very proud of it. I wouldn't change him for anything, hell I'm proud of him especially coming out to his parents which are probably the strictest people I have met. However they accepted him for who he is and love him endless. I would have loved to have that sort of relationship with my parents if I had the chance. I only ever hear from my Aunt what my parents were like and you can tell she was jealous of my mother and all that she achieved. I suppose that makes sense as to why she doesn't like me very much as she always says 'you are just like your mother'. I took it as a compliment. Anyways going back to Mark.. we grew up together and although we are very different and likes different things we seem to just bounce of one another.

As I passed Mark he noticed me walk pass and decided to give the guy his number quickly before running to catch me up."morning Juls nice of you to stop and wait for me ay!" Mark said with a tone of annoyance but humour as he turns back to the guy to shoot a wink as he turns back to me laughing waving his gorgeous blonde locks which you can tell he takes good pride in. I laughed "morning mark nice to see you are moving on from Derek already" I said with a tone of sarcasm as Mark had only split things off with his ex only a few days ago.

"Well... they always say the only way to get over a heart break is to move on to the next.. or something like that anyway" Mark said with a smirk. He has never been good at holding on to good relationships hence my reaction of sarcasm. I laughed and just shook my head at him as we carried on walking to approach Havenbrook college. The beauty of this college is that it holds so many different courses making it nice for us especially as Mark is studying Dance and im studying Psychology meaning we are able to attend the same college and spend our free periods and breaks together.

As the bell rang and all the students rushed off to their classes Mark turns to me "i'll see you at lunch, meet at our usual spot?". I nodded "yeah have a good morning ill see you and the others there" I stood and watched Mark run off to attend his class. I luckily had a free period so hurried off to the library to get a head start on some leftover coursework I had yet to finish.
