Ben's POV
I pushed off the tree and just started running. I heard the shriek. It sounded like death, that's really the only thing that the Scorpius Rex is . Death. But I wasn't letting anyone die today. I looked straight ahead of me focusing on my feet thumping against the ground as I ran. Then I came up to the river. I couldn't stop to climb. it would be to slow, I heard the scorpius right behind me so I did the only thing I could, and I jumped. There was a vine hanging in the middle of the river which I grabbed and swung like the jungle man I was. I landed on the damp ground with a thud. My heart was racing so much I thought it was going to stop. As soon as I landed I got up and kept running. "Darius, please hold on a little longer..." I prayed to whatever dinosaur god was watching us.
Yaz's POV
Me and Sammy were still booking it to the mono rail, "We're almost there!" I yell back to her she was trailing behind me on the look out for anything that might help. "Okay so the plain is that we set a fuse in the mono rail so that when I gets to the middle it all explodes!" I was pretty excited about it, I really felt like Ben. Now I understand why he likes this stuff so much it's like really fun.
Kenji's POV
I sat and looked at Darius my best friend, and he was dying. I didn't want to lose a friend ever since I got here I've felt more loved and had more fun then I've ever had in my entire life. Darius was like my brother I would do anything to make sure he's safe. "He Kenj, he'll be okay I promise..." Brooklyn said in her soft silky tone, putting her hand on my arm trying to calm my nerves. "...b-but what if Ben doesn't find the antidote, or what-what if he doesn't get here in time. I-I just don't want to lose my best friend..." I stumbled out the words were like a poisson in my mouth having to say it out loud was like accepting it and I can't accept that. "Kenji. Look at me, Darius is going to be fine." Brooklyn took my shoulders to make me look at her. "...okay..." I said looking back at Darius, his skin was a murky green he looked dead...
