Azumi forced himself to forget the nightmare and place it at the back of his mind and got up from bed. He took a cold showered and hoped that he'll never have a dream like that ever again. He wanted to act like nothing had happen. "Azami.." he pursed his lips and sighed deeply.

After he washed up he took his phone and checked the time -- 7 am. "I still have a lot of time" he murmured and noticed 2 new messages. He remembered how he embarrassed himself last night. He's ears turned red. I hope she won't mind.

He checked the message and saw that Su Shen wanted to meet him at noon. "I wonder what happened that she changed the time to noon" he said to himself. Wait..

That means I can stay with mom a bit longer!

Azumi finally felt a bit of joy because it's been a while since he last visited his mother. He went out his apartment and headed to the hospital where his mom was confined. It took him a long time to arrive because there was a commotion on the road. A person was caught trying to kidnap an omega, it was a good thing a police officer was nearby and noticed this. The omega was draped with a towel and she was crying as paramedics took her for further examination for injuries.

Vague memories started rising from Azumi's mind but he shook his head and focused ahead. He stared outside the bus window and wondered when will people finally see every gender as equal.

Long ago alphas and omegas were considered equal but as time goes by the world slowly changed. The balance between them were tilted. The omegas were getting lower and treated as "toys" while alphas rose higher and were considered the pinnacle of society.

But then campaigns for gender equality started and many started protesting against this clear discrimination. Surprisingly, this became a trend and many supported it but that was years ago and now it was gradually fading away and discrimination against omegas were slowly rising again.

The hospital where his mother was in was a bit small compared to other hospitals. It was located in an rural area but surprisingly the people there was very kind and approachable. Azumi walked in the hospital and went to the counter "I'm here to visit Wen Xuying". The person there looked at him and greeted him "Azumi! I haven't seen you in a while. Your mom is currently in the garden with her nurse. We tried to stop her because it's still not suitable for her to go outside especially since she recently got her treatment but she insisted. But don't worry we checked her vitals again and looked like she can go for a few minutes."

Azumi smiled and her thanked her. He walked towards the garden and almost instantly all people stared at him. Who wouldn't, he had such a cute and handsome face. Such an adorable person , the people there thought. When he finally arrived there, he saw his mother sitting on a wheelchair under a tree. She was looking ahead as her hair was gently swaying with the wind. She looked similarly to Azumi except for her brown hair and haggard face. It was evident from her physical appearance that she was very weak and sick. But despite this, her beauty was unmatched. It's a pity that such a woman fell for a scum man. Azumi clenched his fists thinking of his 'father'.

The nurse accompanying Xuying left after he saw her son approaching them. He wanted to give them some family time. Azumi just smiled at him. Her son is so beautiful just like her, he thought. "Mom" Azumi called out to her and went to hug her. "Azumi, I missed you so much" Xuying looked at her son with so much love. " Were you okay these days? Did you have enough to eat? You're so thin" Xuying was very worried of her son. She caressed his head " If ony I was healthy, you would've had a good and happy life, I am so sorry Azumi" she sadly said which squeezed Azumi's heart. " Mom please don't say that, it's not your fault that you have this illness." He tightened his hug around his mother. " I will work hard and take you to a hospital with more advanced treatment so that you will recover" Xuying smiled at his statement " Okay then I will also work hard and take care of my body".

Azumi brought Xuying back inside her room and stayed with his mother until it was almost noon. "Mom, I'm planning to work under a company as a photographer. What do you think?" He asked his mother while feeding her some soup. "I'm okay with it. Knowing you, ever since you were little you liked taking photos of me" Xuying laughed but said again "But the most important thing is that you are being treated right there. I don't want you being bullied and hurt" Azumi placed the bowl down "Don't worry I won't let myself be mistreated. And also, the people there were very kind to me" Azumi said and held his phone.

He stayed for a while and chatted more things with his mother. After sometime, he bid her goodbye and promised to bring some fruits on his next visit. After he left, the nurse that was taking care of Xuying went inside holding a tray. "Did you tell him?" He asked as he placed the cup of water and five pills on Xuying's hand. "No, I'm not planning to tell him for the time being" she said as she swallowed the five pills. The nurse looked at her worriedly "I think he should know that your condition has worsen" Xuying drank all the water in the cup.

Suddenly, she started coughing. This wasn't the normal cough that she had these past months, this cough was painful as if she was coughing her guts out. Blood dripped from her mouth. The nurse quickly took a tissue and helped her wipe it off. She thanked him and said " If he knows that my condition has worsened he might be distracted from his work and I don't want that". The nurse could only helplessly sigh and told her to rest.

Author: I was actually planning on dropping this story because it was cringing me too much. I think maybe it was because of the grammar. Also, I'm struggling with the storyline and characters attitude because I noticed it was constantly changing as the story goes on so pls endure it .

BUT I'm planning to finish this story sooo stay tuned to more chapterss
