Thando heard a knock from the door, she looked anxious, she then got up and opened the door.
"Hello, ma'am I was sent by Mia's mom to deliver the things for Mia's birthday. " said the male driver
"Ok, come in."
The man came in the house and saw the kids watching cartoons.Thando took the driver to the kitchen.
When they got to the kitchen the driver placed the cake, and the cupcakes on the countertop, but when the driver placed them the other things on the countertop fell, and when Thando bent over to pick them up, her t-shirt revealed the gun. The driver froze in shock. Thando then picked up the items that were on the countertop, along with the the things that fell were the helper's phone.
Immediately after Thando picked the things up, she took out the gun, and pointed the gun to the driver. She signalled the driver to keep quiet, and took him to a room in the main house and tied him up.
She went back to the playroom and she took a selfie video where she said," I'm Thando, I'm a daycare centre teacher and I am holding the kids hostage."
Then posted the video on social media. A few minutes later, a cop showed up at the house and knocked on the door, but found nothing wrong. He then called the station telling them that nothing is wrong.
When the cop knocked the door, Thando was sitting on a couch anxiously and was hesitant to opening the door. When the knocking stopped she peaked through the door hole, seeing that the cop is further away from the door and is on his phone, she carefully opened the door, took the gun out, held it in her hands then fired three bullets to the sky.
When the shots were fired the cop was still on the call and immediately asked for backup.
