I was chillin in my bed when i got a call from an unknown number. i hesitatingly answered "hello" i said "hi is this kalani salvage" the lady asked "correct" i said keeping it short. "hi kalani so this is jackson hospital and we are sorry to inform you, your mother had passed away but the baby was saved-"
"THE WHAT" i yelled sitting up in my bed "the baby she has survived, you mom was 8 months pregnant and had early birth but passed away." my jaw dropped and i teared up for some reason .
"i- um please keep her safe i'll be on a flight up there by tomorrow or something" i said grabbing my laptop "ok please be here soon because we will have to give her up to foster" the lady said
"NO. don't chu dare you put my sister in no forster care" i said looking up tickets to go to florida. "ok maam bye" she said n hung up.
i found a ticket for 4 in the morning so i booked it n started packing some stuff.

The airport
i didn't tell anybody i was going to florida or why. i'm scared to raise a baby all on my own.
i got through tsa nd was looking for my gate when i found it u sat down n took out my phone and seen 24 missed calls from lena 15 from miya 7 from murda i turned off my phone and laid my head back for 20 mintues.
"Flight 6936 going to Miami Florida is now boarding." i heard over the intercom i got up gathering my stuff n got on the plane "hello" i said to an flight attendant and she waved smiling.
i looked around looking for my seat once i found it i put my suitcase in the cabin n sat down . i prayed n then took out my blanket covering myself n leaning on the window.
Couple hours later.
I got off the plane heading towards the carousel to pick up my bag i waited 5 minutes n i seen my bag coming down and I grabbed it and headed out the airport.
I ordered my Uber since I got out the plane so it was already waiting for me. I got in the Uber while my overdrive put in my suitcase and we drove to my mom's house .
Around 45 minutes later, we got there and the house was dark. I took out my old key and rolled my suitcase to the front door where i then open the door.
The house looks the same as how I left it clean and tidied. i walked up stairs to my room where nothing changed. i put my bags down and ran my hands down my face.
i took out my phone and turned it on n now i had 54 miss calls from murda 32 from lena n more. i decided to call murda first. he answered first ring. he saw my face n he frowned "what happened mama where are you" he asked.
i started crying "lani baby where are you" he asked and i shook my head "she's gone" i said crying harder. "who? who's gone lani" he asked "my mommmm" i dragged flinging my head back.
"damn, i'm sorry mama where are you tho" he asked and i tried calming down. "i-im in florida s-she was pregnant so i have a b-baby sister or brother" i said sniffing.
"why u ain't tell me ma i woulda came witchu" he said feeling bad "i-im sorry i wasn't think and im sorry for not answering" i said taking a deep breathe i didn't know i had to let out.
"nah don't be sorry ma u was going through it i understand" he said walking into what im guessing is trap "shes fine but dont ask questions" he mumbled n everyone said ok "im fine guys im jus going through a lil sum" i said trying to smile.
murda ran his hand down his face sighing.
"it's gon be aight ma when u coming back" he asked looking at me. i wiped my eyes and looked i the camera see my eyes low puffy and red, i sighed "tomorrow night i already booked our flight. ion what ima do cuz ion have no baby stuff." i said hyperventilating a lil bit.
"don't worry bout dat jus know i gotchu aight?" he asked and i nodded "words lani" he said "yes i know" . "now go wash ya face and come back" he told me and i did just that.
i was scared to be basically a mom to a newborn baby but it glad its not nobody else because i dont know what would do with myself.
by time i came back to the phone he was in his car going god knows where "you ate?" he asked and i stayed silent "lani ik you heard me" he said seriously "i didn't" i said and he mugged me a lil bit.
"whats the address to that house" he asked "838 Hitlars Street" i said tilting my head picking at my nails "stop don't do dat" he said and i stopped looking at him "mama i wish i was there witchu ion like seeing u sad" he said frowning getting out the car.
"it's ok your already helping me through the screen trust me" i said while my body was slowly calming down. "you wanna gts ona phone" he asked looking at me and i nodded .
and after that we both took ours showers that the same time but he got out first and then i did my night time routine and got in my bed. i scared for tomorrow but i know i had to do it to make myself happy.
"goodnight phat" he said in his low sleepy voice "you betta stop it finna get me horny" i said chuckling and he laughed "goodnight tho stinka" i said making a kiss sound and he did the same.
