BADA
Phone ringing*
I groggily reached for my phone as it rang, not bothering to check who was calling."Hello," I mumbled, still half-asleep.
"Finally naman sinagot mo na! I've been calling you kanina pa," She exclaimed.
"Who's this?" I asked, not recognizing the voice of the caller.
"Grabe na talaga ang isang Bada Serene Lee, ang bilis makalimot," she said teasingly.
Frustrated, I decided to end the call.
Just as I was about to drift back to sleep, my phone rang again. This person is quite persistent.
Sinusulit ko na ang magpahinga since classes will start in three days. I am a professor at one of the most prestigious universities in the Philippines. It's been three years since I started teaching, and so far, I am loving my work, but of course, I cannot forget my love for dancing.
I sighed and answered the call once more.
"Sino ba kasi 'to?" I asked, slightly annoyed.
"Hey Bada, chill, it's Chocol."
What does Chocol wants now? I can already sense where our conversation was heading."What do you need, Chocs?" I asked.
"We're going to a club tonight, sama ka naman. Since classes are starting soon, why don't you have some fun, Bads?" ani ni Chocol. "Enjoy yourself naman" She added.
Enjoy myself? I'd rather sleep than go to a club.
"You know naman na I'm not really into clubbing, 'di ba? At tsaka, tigil tigilan niyo 'ko, Chocs. Mangbabae lang naman kayo don, idadamay niyo pa ako." I replied.
"Grabe ka naman sa'min, Bads. Oo na, ikaw na ang matino. Come on, don't be a killjoy. Join us just for tonight, I promise we'll just have some drinks and dancing," Chocol insisted. Ang kulit talaga.
"Okay, fine. Just for tonight. Mapilit ka e, sige pagbibigyan ko na kayo, miss na miss niyo naman ako masyado e," biro ko.
I agreed, realizing that I did miss hanging out with them. It's been ages the last time we hung out together. Everytime kasi na niyayaya nila ako ay lagi akong tumatanggi.
"Great, thank you, Bads. Meet us at the usual spot. It'll be so much fun, you won't regret it. See you!" Chocol said excitedly.
"Alright, bye, see you," I replied before ending the call.
"Regret it? We'll see about that," I muttered to myself. I guess it's not bad to have a little fun tonight.
Alright, time to get ready.

"What should I wear?" I asked myself pondering over my wardrobe options.
I decided to keep it simple and comfortable, not wanting to attract too much attention. I chose a black sweater and beige pants, keeping it casual yet stylish.
Just then, my phone buzzed with a notification from our group chat.
GROUP CHAT:
Chochol: Hey guys, ano na? Asan na kayo?
Noze : Teka lang naman, atat e. I'm almost done na with my makeup.
