In the dark of night, when no stars shine to light hope in his broken heart, Blade barely stands with shaky legs in his murky room. He's trembling, the images of his companions' demises flowing through his head. It makes him feel sick. He almost refuses to believe the reality he's forced to face, the tragic turn of events: he wants it all to be a mere nightmare, an illusion. But with each passing second, His hope shattered more and more, until it completely broke.

Before him, hung from the ceiling by a single vivid string is the culprit: An eight-legged hell-born. It stays still, staring at Blade with its eight evil eyes as if to taunt him. That makes Blade's blood boil. He wants to shout, to let his rage out. To dash forward, to take out his sword and cut and slash and slit until the beast is no more. But all that fighting spirit is futile. He's too frail, and his body refuses to move. His nails dig into his skin in helplessness. Tears pour down his red cheeks as he falls to his knees. He no longer cares for his long-lost pride and keeps weeping, mourning the deaths of his friends. The fiend brutally tore them apart limb by limb and feasted joyfully on their cries and pleas before biting into their flesh and imbibing their blood. Not even bones remained of them.

Blade's awaiting fate was no different: it was only a matter of time before the monster's undying appetite got to him, too.

Although he yearned to reach his end, death by the bloodthirsty claws of the demon was far from the one he longed for. He breathed heavily, not wanting to accept his destiny. "Just.. just do it already," he mumbled. He didn't care anymore. He just wanted it all to be over, to finally be united with his co-workers in the unknown afterlife. But the embodiment of evil did not reply, nor move. It kept torturing Blade, crashing him completely. Blade could only keep on crying and begging.

Suddenly, the door behind him was opened, sneaking light from outside into the dark room. There, stood a tall angelic figure, holding doomsday's weapon.

"Don't be scared." Its captivating voice whispered to him, magically relaxing him at once. With one swift movement, the angel sealed satan himself within the weapon. Blade could swear he had never witnessed such courage. He forced himself to speak. He had to thank his savior before it took its leave.

"How could I ever return the favor..?" He asked softly. Though in his corrupted heart, it was already clear to him that he would never be able to repay the deed. "It's alright, Bladie. It's just a little spider, see? No need to be afraid." Blade took one glance at the creature's hairy legs running around in panic inside the container.

Disgusting

Disgusting.

"I.. I thought it took you.. and the others.." Blade mumbeled. "We know, we know.. you've been practically screaming all about it for the past ten or so minutes. Don't worry, everyone is still alive, and, haha, a little upset." Laughed Kafka. "Goodnight, Bladie. Please stay quiet." She requested, before leaving and shutting the door behind her with a hint of anger.

Finally left all alone, Blade happily continued to spam Dan heng's privet messages with loving death threats as he did before.
