"You really think we can pull this off?" I asked while he was getting dressed.

"Of course we will."

"You act so sure, why?"

He laughed, a beautiful sound.

"Look at us. We met last night and I'm trading in all aspects of my life for you. I'll do whatever it takes to make it happen."

"You say that like it's a bad thing."

His smile didn't fade as he answered, "Well, it's pretty fucked up. I left my girlfriend at home and she's probably wondering if I'm dead or alive. It's not exactly a good thing."

This made me laugh. "You can just tell her that your battery died. It would convince me."

He laid down on the bed beside me and stared at the ceiling with a smile.

"You know, I could stay like this forever," he admitted.

I turned on my side to meet his green eyes.

"Forever isn't long enough."
