Synopsis:
IN WHICHthe Bau team is invited to the big apple when three bodies are dropped with similar MO's that indicate there's a copycat of New Yorks's most famous killer - The Surgeon. When the lead detective suggests going to the only person who might be able to solve the case due to his knowledge of the killer the chase is on to find the only hope they have to save more people before it's too late. They didn't expect the stranger would be so connected to their case but he was.

IN WHICH Malcom Bright isn't the most normal person out there and you couldn't blame him since his father was a famous serial killer dubbed "the Suregon" and he was the one to bring him in at the ripe age of ten. He spent years studying serial killers to figure out why and deep down he wants to know if he'll follow the path of his father. So he joined the FBI and became a great agent, albit a little manic and reckless he still got the job done. Until his track record doesn't count anymore and he's out of the job after punching a sheriff and he finds himself pulled into a familar case - his father's copycat. And there's no one who knows the case better than Malcom.
A/N:
Prodigal Son is probably my favourite crime show, it's heavily inspired by Hannibal and Malcom literally needs a hug so bad. It's only got two seaons and was cancelled sadly but you should watch it!
I haven't seen a prodigal son and criminal minds crossover so I thought I would do it. The timeline is a little messy since PS is set in 2019 and I really didn't want to do the last seasons of criminals minds since I haven't seen it yet. So let's just not worry about the timeline inconsisteny. So i'm not sure where to start it, maybe s10 before Cat and maybe have him take Kate's place idk or I just say fuck it and do an earlier season.
At first I was going to have Aaron as the love interest so Malcom could have something stable in his life but Spencer just makes more sense. Spencer's also more fruity then Hotch
