My father was looking deep into my eyes as if I had a lash poking out of them. "Hey, uh.." I mumbled as he finally looked like regained consciousness, "How long have I been out?" I asked assuming it had only been 3 through 6 minutes. "Its been 20 minutes, I couldn't get you up." He replied as if he had forgotten it was the first day of 8th grade?! "DAD!" I shouted running out the house sprinting to the school. I had already missed my bus, running was my only option.
Seeing the school ahead of me was a relief after running for a solid 10 minutes. I used to run all the time so I didn't lose much breath. Only having a 5 minute run left, I decided to just walk the 3 extra minutes.
A girl, maybe around my age flew passed me. Running towards my school I assumed she went there. The middle school I went to included of every elementary that was around the area so I wasn't guaranteed to know everyone there.
Finally walking through the doors took that big stone off my chest, "I can finally relax.." Is what I told myself, right before a tall, black haired boy came before me. He looked a lot older then the rest of the kids in the hall.
He looked almost like a frat boy but when he started talking is when I got a random lump down my throat.. "Who are you? Are you sure you're supposed to be in the 8th grade wing" he asked with a snickered laugh added to it. I simply brushed it off and went to find my class. I turned back to see him following me down the hall. As if that wasn't enough bad luck he followed me into my homeroom.
Room 105 in the 8th grade wing. Sadly my class that also included the girl that flew passed me earlier and the frat looking boy, that gave me a weird feeling.
The teacher finally started to introduce herself to the class, "Hey guys! I will be your homeroom teacher this year!" Everyone started to sigh and give dirty looks. Either way she continued, "My name is Ms C. please call me as such, we shouldn't have a problem this year!"
Everyone was shocked by the side comment, but since everyone at this school is dumb witted they forgot within 2 minutes of chatting the room up. While everyone was busy talking, I was thinking to myself about the old man from the front door. "He had to be at least in his 60s." I accidentally mumbled. "What did you say?" asked the girl from this morning, not looking at her I answered with, "Why do you care? Mind your business." And thats what put me in a hole for the next 3 weeks.
