A/N - Happy reading... Comments would be most appreciated. Thanks

A couple of lines would be most appreciated....
I am fairly new to Wattpad so I m not sure about things here. But one thing every writer seeks is their reader's views. Even if it is constructive criticism. So this one thing has been a little disappointing. Well no issues. Comment if you  find time or r so
Inclined. Thanks

Chapter 3 - "Summer friends will melt away like summer snows, but winter friends are friends forever." George R R Martin

Virat's POV.

"You are just my Captain."

"I know what to do. You do not need to bother!"

"I know that, MS! I am not a newbie."

"God! You are always so cranky!"

"Why do you always act like a mother hen, MS?"

"You are becoming slow, MS! Just saying."

"I am the Captain now!"

How many times? Just how many fucking times?

Virat had lost count of the times he had spoken out of turn to MS, had apologised and gone right back at it. Both, when MS had been the Captain and when Virat had been handed over the reins. And MS had forgiven him every single time.

Without reservation and without any lingering anger.

"He should not have," Virat mumbled to himself as he stared at the silhouette of the man standing on the terrace, looking out at the skyline of the city. "He lets me take too much liberty."

"I have always said this! No one listens to me!"

Virat jumped backwards in surprise as he had not expected anyone to overhear his words. He turned; it was Rohit.

"Of course it is you. Any sane person would call out, instead of trying to give their friend a heart-attack!"

"If this gives you a heart attack, then you bragging about your fitness is moot." Rohit reached out and tapped Virat on his head. "Just how many times did you hit my poor kid?" He asked, titling his head towards Hardik, who was being fussed over by Jaddu and Jassi; well, fussed over by Jassi and teased by Jaddu.

"When did they come?" Virat was annoyed at himself for being so far inside his head that he had completely missed out the presence of three other people.

"You, my friend, need to get your bearings under control. And don't ignore my question; how many times did you hit my kiddo?" Rohit's voice was laced with laughter, a first after quite a few days.

"Thrice." Virat murmured, some guilt taking over his thoughts. He looked over at Hardik, whose inflamed cheek was being doctored by Jassi with ice packs and a usually high strung Hardik was accepting the same without much protest.

"Ouch." Rohit murmured sympathetically. "But still lesser than what I would have doled out."

Virat shook his head at this barefaced lie and glared at his best friend. "As if," he murmured. "You would have just scolded him a little and then hugged him."

Rohit shrugged. "Maybe. But you did the same, didn't you? Only doled out a couple of slaps."

"Eieieiei..Shhhh.....Ouch..."

Hardik's pained hiss brought Virat rushing back to him and Rohit followed suit.

"What happened?" He asked, even as he took the ice pack from Jassi and gently held it against Hardik's cheek. "Is it paining too much, Harry?"
