Throwback to the national championship against Lsu
Olivia's pov
Today is the national championship for the NCAA March madness tournament. We are going up against Lsu. I'm at my hotel getting ready with Jada. We do our makeup and hair. I'm done getting ready and I pack my bag. After I'm done getting ready I get a message from my sister Nika.

Our coach messages our gc to start heading to the bus so me and Jada get all our stuff and head to the bus. I sit by my best friend Kate and Jada sits by Hannah. After a 15 minute bus ride we make it to the stadium and I start to get nervous. We get to our locker room. We go out the court and do a pregame warmup. We finish our pregame warmup and head back to the locker room.
"Starts today are Olivia, Caitlin, Gabbie, Monika, and Kate" coach Bluder says. She gives us a pep talk and it's time to go back out.
" let's go out there and get 'em Hawkeye on 3 "

Hawkeyes " we all say at the same time. We run out of the tunnel clapping some fans hands. We do our 5 minute warmup and I look around and see my family I wave at them and blow them a kiss. The time runs out meaning it's time for the game to start.
All the starters sit down on the bench and coach talks to us. They start announcing the starting lineups.

We do our huddle and the game starts the ball gets tipped to Alexis and she brings the ball down I'm guarding Angel. Flaujae try's to pass it back to alexis but Gabbie steals it and passes it to Caitlin who passes it to Monika who makes it in. Alexis brings the ball down and passes it to Flaujae who makes the corner 3. Caitlin passes it to Gabbie who passes it to Monika who doesn't make the layup. Alexis brings down the ball who gets it stolen by Kate who makes the layup. Alexis brings the ball down and she passes it to Kateri who misses the layup and I grab the ball and pass it to Caitlin who makes a three. I guard Flaujae now while Monika guards Angel. Ladaziah gets the ball and goes for a layup but passes it to Flaujae who misses her corner three. We get the rebound and I pass it to Caitlin who passes it to Monika but Angel slaps the ball and Angel grabs the ball and she goes down the court and makes a layup. Caitlin brings the ball down and passes it to Monika and she makes the layup. Alexis brings the ball down and passes it to Kateri who passes it to ladazhia and monika just grabs the ball and the refs call for jump ball. Caitlin brings the ball down and passes it to monika but she misses and Angel grabs the rebound and brings the ball and passes it to Ladaziah who makes it.

We end up loosing. 102-85. I had 28 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks. We head to the locker room and we get our pep talk. We head to the press room.
I: you guys had a good game but unfortunately came up short how are you guys feeling?
O: I'm doing okay as of right now you know not everyone is gonna win at something and I feel like we played a really good game but we just couldn't finish good.
I: Olivia you had 11 assists usually you have 7 and you had a triple double how do you feel about that?
O: I felt good you know something about muhl sisters we got good eyes.
I: Olivia you only need 7 assists to beat Iowas leading assists Samantha Logic how does it feel?
O: it feels good you know knowing that me and my sister will both be all time assist givers
I: you're whole family was here how does that feel?
O: it feels good. My mom and dad came all the way from Croatia to watch us play in the national championship and my sisters Nika and Hana also came nika even brought some of her teammates so that feels good.
I: Caitlin how are you feeling after Angel Reese was taunting you?
C: I didn't even know or care, it's basketball obviously someone gonna trash talk you , obviously someone's gonna taunt you especially when you're known.
I: Olivia and Caitlin you guys are losing Monika, makenna, Kate, and Gabbie how are you guys feeling?
O: we are gonna have to get used to it. Those girls are my older sisters especially Kate, she's been my best friend since my freshmen year. Yk if she comes back I'll be happy but if she don't I just want her to know I'll always support her and love her. Even though I won't be the same without my other half. We grew such a good bond over the year that no one can break, cause that's how good of a bond we got. Gabbie is another one of my older sisters. She always wants what's best for me. Makenna is one of my favorites she was so nice when I first came to Iowa and I hope for the best in the future. Monika is like a mom to me. She keeps me safe because my mom is all the way in Croatia. And she makes sure I don't do nothing bad so I'm kinda sad that they're all gonna be gone.
C: i just want what's best for them whatever they want to do they can I will support them all the way.
