Calista's POV:
The next morning, I woke up with the hot sun disturbing my sleep. My eyes blinked twice to readjust the brightness of the room. I sat upright and I felt a wave of headache hit me as I held my head and wince
I saw water, medicine and a small note on my side table. I picked up the note and read what's on it
Use the medicine! And come to school on time or else the mistress would lock only you in
Wait! What?!
I used it and I ran to the bathroom, did my business and I came out. I wore my uniform, white socks and black boots before putting my phone in my bag as I swing it across my shoulder. I made my hair into ponytail and I ran out forgetting to apply my lip gloss.
On getting to the main door, I noticed it lock and my eyes widen.
"No! No!! No!!! Mistress?" I called out
"Mistr....."
"Yes? Yes?? Yes???" I heard her answer me from behind as I let out a relief sigh
"Please help me open the door!" I told her and she looked at me with a frown
"You are late for school! I don't like that. You should be awake at 5amand get yourself prepared for school. Didn't your roommate tell you so?!" She asked with a serious look on her face
"No ma! It won't happen next time" I replied and she nod with a small smile
"Hurry up and run" And I did.
The hall way was silent, really silent as I made my way to class. I opened the door slowly only to find Miss Scarlet teaching Biology.
I greeted her only to receive an "OUT!"
"Am sorry?" I asked hoping I didn't hear the wrong thing
She stopped teaching and look at me with a hard stare
"I said get out of my class! You are 20 minutes late and you still want me to allow you in?! No can do baby girl." Miss Scarlet said
"But ma! Its my first time being late its not as if am gonna do it again!" I tried to say in a really polite manner
"Now go to the detention class for trying to argue with a teacher!" She states as my eyes widen
"D..detention?! Oh Ma please. I promise it won't happen again" I pleaded but she just ignored me and continued teaching
"Calista! You are distracting my responsible students! Go to detention room and stay there for a while then when am done with my class, one of the students would come to call you! Leave!!" She said leaving no room for argument and much to my surprise, the bell went off indicating that its time for the next subject
I fold my hands over my chest and I smirk at her.
Looks like it you who would be leaving Miss Scarlet!
She glared at me, closed her textbook before saying "All of you are the same! But I won't tolerate your nonchalant attitude. Now that am your teacher, I won't go easy on you AT ALL" she threatened before pushing me out of the way but luckily Alex caught me
I was so annoyed at the teacher that I've forgotten I was being held.
"Are you okay baby girl?!" Alex said and I nod
"Thanks!"
"No problem darling!" He winked at me as I made my way to my seat.
"Morning!" I greeted Evie and I wave to Dianne at the back.
"Tell me all what happened after you went to throw up last night!" Evie states taking me off guard
"First of all, that's no way to reply a friendly good morning. Second of all, nothing exciting happened. I went unconscious and the next thing, I found myself in my room!" I replied
"Anyways, you and the four guys won the dance competition yesterday. Go and meet them to collect your prize and because you were not where to be found yesterday after the party, I went to help you receive your beautiful dress award. Yeah, you also won that too." She opened her bag and she bought out a beautiful golden treasure designed with a beautiful gown on it.
"Wow! Its beautiful. Thanks" I collected it and she smiled back at me.
I put the treasure in my bag as two guys entered and I recognize them both; Arlo and Orson.
They were going to meet the rest of the guys and the back while some people muffled their screams
"Oh brother! Must they come here?!" I heard Evie complain behind me and I laughed
"You scared that Orson would yell at you for smudging his shirt yesterday?!" I teased
"What? No! Why would I be scared when I purposely did it?!" She replied and it was obvious that she didn't regret what she did.
I looked at Arlo and he was looking around for something till his eyes landed on me and then he look away.
Weirdo!
Orson was about to seat down when his eyes landed on Evie. He stopped as he made his way towards our seat.
Uh-ho
"There you are!" Orson pointed at her while she just ignored him and continue reading
"Don't you dare ignore me after doing something wrong!" Orson flings the book away as Evie slowly look up at him with her deadly brown eyes
"The fuck is your problem?!" She asked and I noticed Orson grit his teeth
"Listen to me girl! If you ever try to do what you did yesterday again?! You won't like what I'd do to you..." Orson warned
"And what's that?! Report me to the Principal {scoff} I dare you!" Evie replied with the same tone he had used on her earlier.
Evie brought out her bottle water and she drank some out of it when Orson held her jaw tightly and made her face him
"Thank you freaking fucking stars you are a girl or I would have make you go through hell!" He threatened but Evie spat out the water on his face making him release her immediately
She wiped her mouth and she looked at him.
"Never. Ever. Touch me like that. Again!" Evie warned as Orson storm off in anger.
Then out of the blue, the Mistress appeared saying that the principal wanted to see me.
" Me?!" I asked to be sure and she nods her head. I wonder why?!
