Mia started walking into school, with the phone call that she had just had still stuck in her head. She was having a rough time and Luke was helping her through it, he didn't know it, but she felt so much better when she was talking to him.
Walking through the hallway to her classroom, Mia spotted her friend Catherine, she was another person who was a huge part of Mia's life and she would trust her with anything!
Problems at home were making Mia get upset but she found it too painful to talk to her mum and dad - worried that they would just call her silly and tell her to get over it. So being at school was hard for Mia, she would give anything to do her work from home. It would allow her to show her emotions without the worry that someone would start laughing or judge her ike they had done for most of her life.
'Hey!' Catherine exclaimed as she ran towards Mia, with her arms wide, waiting for a hug. Mia couldn't help the beaming smile that started to form on her face, just looking at her friend made her feel so happy. Catherine always knew how to make things feel better, even if it meant embarressing herself.
'Hey to you too! How are you today?' Mia said while throwing herself into her friends arms. 'I've missed you! Did you have a nice weekend?'
'Calm down! Try one question at a time...' they both laughed, while separating themselves to look at one another. 'But i'm good thank you, how are you? I've missed you too and yes i had a lovely weekend thank you, how was yours?', while nodding to show her understanding Mia turned her phone off and put it securely in her pocket.
'I'm amazing and my weekend was pretty good too thanks for asking!'. Arriving outside her classroom Mia gave Catherine a hug and agreed to meet after class was over.

'Good morning Mrs. Peters, how was your weekend?' Mia said while slipping casually into her normal seat and removing her books from her bag.
'I had a nice weekend, thank you Mia. Lessons don't start for another ten minutes so if you want you can go on your phone for a little while?' Mia smiled her thanks at Mrs. Peters and removed her phone from her pocket while turning it on.
'ONE NEW MESSAGE' popped up on her screen, her smile only got bigger when it read: 'Hey, missing you already! Can't wait to talk to you later, message me when you can <3'
'Missing you too! I have PSHRE first so i'll text you while we're watching the film :)' hitting the send button she opened a blank notepad and started to doodle.
Mia may not have been an arty person and may not have been able to draw people or animals, but she loved to doodle (hearts, flowers, butterflies and bows were the most common).
'I didn't expect you to reply so soon :) I have P.E first but because of the ice we're staying inside and watching documentaries about sports player' he replied seconds later.
Mrs. Peters walking back into the room with a cup of coffee and gave one last smile to Mia before the class started to fill the remaining seats. Megan - another friend of Mia's - came and sat next to her and continued to text her friend, while Mrs. Peters set-up the film ready to be watched and hit the play button.

After a tiring first and second lesson Mia put her matching scarf and glove set on and zipped up her coat, 'only one more lesson to go' she thought to herself 'then off home to study' she sighed and made her way around the corner so she was stood in-front of Catherine's class.
As much as she tired, Mia couldn't get Luke out of her mind, she just kept imagining him talking to her, the sound of his voice and his great personailty. She closed her eyes blinking away the tears before they formed and went back to looking at Catherine's classroom door.
Looking closely she had noticed that Catherine had sat next to a guy, he was tall with short brown hair and he was pretty funny - his name was Joe, Catherine wacked his arm and said something to him, although, Mia couldn't work out what it was. Catherine then stood-up shoving her books in her bag and started to walk out of the classroom, however, Joe grabbed her arm.
'Text me, it was nice talking to you' he whispered with a smile, while handing over his mobile number. Catherine smiled and took it off of him, putting it into her shirt pocketand walking towards Mia, which her arms outstreched. She then wrapped them both in a huge hug, so tight that neither of them could breath properly.
'Jeez! Catherine, why so happy?!' Mia managed to exclaim through Catherine's tight hug. 'I an hardly breath!' with that Catherine released her arms and apologised to Mia.
'Me and Joe have been talking all lesson, he's really nice and really funny!' a big beaming smile slowly made its way upon Catherine's face and now i have his phone nimber!' she practically screamed .
'Has someone got a little crush..?' Mia whispered to her over-excited best friend with a big smile on her face. Mia was rewarded by a light punch in the arm for saying this.
'No! Unlike some people' Catherine sang as she winked at her best friend.
'I do not have a crush on Luke!' copying Catherine's move, Mia responded with a light slap on the arm.
'Ouch!' faking hurt Catherine help her arm over-exagerating the pain. 'Mia! That really hurt! I think you've dislocated my shoulder!'
Mia glanced over at her best friend in the corner of her eye and decided to play along.
'Oh, i'm so sorry Catherine! Would you like me to call an ambulance...?' Mia began picking up the pace and linked arms with her best friend. 'Are you okay? You look like you're going to faint!' both girls began to giggle at one another. Drawing a large amount of attention on themselves. They started walking upstairs towards their tutor classrooms and exchanged one final hug before their final lesson of the day.
'Bye Catherine! Have fun in tutor without me' Mia shouted while walking backwards down the hallway to her tutor-room.
'I'll miss you my bestie!' Catherine replied in a high pitched voice causing both her and Mia to begin laughing again. Ending the conversation they both walked into their final class of the day.
