Talia Santiago was a broken girl living in a broken world. She was a relatively happy girl for most of her life, up until her mother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and died six months later.
Her whole world fell apart, including her relationship with her boyfriend, Cole Walter, whom she was dating for a year prior. She found out at her mother's funeral that he cheated on her with Erin. Heartbroken and devastated, she breaks up with him and tells him to go fuck himself.
Later that night, after feeling hopeless and alone, Talia had a suicide attempt in the bathtub, slicing her wrists open. Thankfully, her father found her before she bled out and called for an ambulance. Talia spent the next month in the mental hospital.
