"Jess," Rachel whispered, "You up?"

Jess's eyes fluttered open, a small smile on her face as she looked up at rachel.

"Well I am now," She replied, laughing softly.

"It's like five in the afternoon, I think we need to get up," Rachel told her, "I'll put the tv on for you and make my sacred recipe (with ice clarissa.)"

Jess stretched her arms out, "Ok" she yawned, sitting up in the bed. She looked down at Rachel, it was at that moment that Jess felt something familiar bloom in her chest, she couldn't quite tell what it was though.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jess was sitting down on the couch watching Bluey, when the tv show was interrupted by one of the news channels.
The words breaking news were flashing across the screen, an image of the body Rachel had left behind shown. Rachel saw Jess pale at the sight of the body, then the news reporter started talking.
"Breaking News, a body was found early this morning by a young woman called Heather Gray, the body was mangled to the point it was unrecognisable. The police however have identified the victim as Levi Nelson, a young 22 year old. The man appears to have been shot several times, and his skin was carved off of his body. Please stay safe and stay indoors until the person who did this is caught."
Rachel looked over at Jess, she frowned slightly at the horror that had crossed her loves face. Why was she upset, he hurt her, he betrayed her. Rachel felt the anger that she had at Levi reappear inside her soul, she felt rage overtake her very body. Jess was hurt beyond repair by this person and she still cared about him? Why?
"Are you okay Rach?" Jess called, she was looking at Rachel with concern in her eyes, "You look, angry,"
Rachel felt her face immediately soften, "Sorry Jess, I just can't imagine why anyone would do that to someone," Rachel lied.
"It's horrible, I don't think you should go home, I don't want anything like that happening to you," Jess told Rachel.
Rachel felt her face heat up, embarrassed at the concern Jess was showing her. She quietly grabbed the iced coffees that she'd made, walking over to the couch that Jess was at and handing her one.
The two drank their coffees and watched Bluey in silence, enjoying the company of one another. A few minutes into the show, Jess leaned her head down on Rachel's shoulder, yawning.
"You can sleep if you want to," Rachel told Jess, watching as her eyes fluttered shut.
Rachel smiled as Jess's breathing evened out, she reached for the remote and shut the tv off, wrapping her arms around Jess and holding her against her chest. She closed her eyes and let herself relax knowing that her love would be safe in her arms.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rachel hated the pain on Jess's face when Heather's name was mentioned on that stupid news channel, she hated the way Jess looked concerned for what had happened to Levi, she hated the way that there were things in Jess's apartment that Heather had left, she hated it, she hated the tears caused by those people, she killed him for a reason.

Rachel was going to find Heather.

She was going to find her and kidnap her.

She would be kept in her fathers torture chamber, and she would never recover.

Rachel planned on making it so that Heather was never going to be seen again, no one would find this body. No one would cause Jess to worry ever again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jess woke the next morning, in her bed, had Rachel moved her? Confused she sat up, she could have sworn that she had fallen asleep on the couch next to Rachel.
She groggily got up, stumbling out of the room and searching for Rachel.
"Rach?" She called out, "Where are you?"
When no one responded Jess felt a sense of panic and fear spread through her body, she found herself struggling to breathe, her chest moving up and down, but no air going into her lungs. Her head was screaming, she couldn't hear anything but the ringing noise in her ears.
Rachel had left her, just like everyone else, she really was destined to be alone. He was right, no one would ever love someone like her. She felt tears run down her cheeks, her thoughts were never ending.
She deserved this, she told herself, she deserved to die. She should just get it over with, so she doesn't have to suffer through this anymore, suffer through the pain of being left.
She jolted when she felt a hand on her back, someone was pulling her close, her thoughts quieted and she heard Rachel.
"Jess, Jess, are you okay, what happened?" Rachel was crying, Jess realised.
She looked up at Rachel, "I thought you left me, like he did," She sobbed.
"He told me that no one would ever love me enough to stay with me, he told me that's why my parents left, he said that you would leave me one day, I feel so stupid. I believed him." Jess confessed.
Rachel felt it again, that anger, seething through her very bones, she wished she had made his death more painful. She wished she had made him truly regret what he had done to her love.
At least she had Heather to take out her anger on, at least she can make her regret ever getting back with that skanky little bitch Levi. She was going to make her regret every word she had said about her love, about how Levi was better off without her, about how Levi should just ditch her.
She wasn't going to kill Heather, not now, not ever, she was going to show that stupid bitch what pain truly was. She wasn't going to kill her physically, but she would kill her mentally. She would ruin everything about Heather. She was going to make it so that no one would ever be able to recognise who she was ever again.
It was for Jess, Rachel told herself. It was okay that she was doing this, because it meant that Jess would be happy. It meant that Jess would love her.
