Brian's POV

It's been 3 weeks since I first stepped into that café and met Mia. I go there everyday between the hours of noon and two thirty. This morning I was on a race track, practicing my turns. Once the sharp turns came, I would lose control of the car and spin out.
"Damn it!" I yell out angrily, slamming my hands against the steering wheel.

I huffed out in annoyance, head to Harry's to switch cars and head to the café. I park my truck in the same spot across the street as I have been for the past month and walk to the open garage. I notice Mia writing something in a pretty thick spiral notebook over the counter. She then looks up in my direction and tries to hide a smirk, but I saw it anyway.

I smirk at her flirtatious ways and walk up to the counter and threw down my car magazine. I sat down and looked at her figure, averting my eyes before she catches me.

"Tuna on white, no crust right?" Mia asks as she pretends to write. I flipped open my magazine and played dumb, "I don't know. How is it?" Mia furred her brows and played along.

"Everyday for the past 3 weeks you've been comin' in here and ask how the tuna is. Now, it was crappy yesterday, it was crappy the day before, and guess what. It hasn't changed."

I look up at her and grin, "I'll have the tuna."

"No crust?" Mia smiled and asked, knowingly. I hold back a laugh and assured her, "No crust."

Mia grinned and walked to the other side of the counter to make the sandwich. As soon as she moves from my view, I notice Dominic Toretto sitting with his back facing us. He then gets up and goes to the fridge and gets a soda and pops it open.

We made eye contact for a few seconds before he looked at his sister and sat back down at his table and continued doing whatever it was he was doing before.

"So what's up with this whole 'no crust' thing, Brian? Are you anal, or what?" Mia asked with a smirk as she picked up two slices of bread. I smirk at her and reply, "No. I'm just particular."

Mia gave me a confused expression as she cut the crust off the slices with a knife, so I explained, "It's like—I don't know, ever since I was a kid I just can't eat it. You know it's brown and it taste like dirt. I just don't get it."

Mia smiled and then asked, "You wanted pickles with that, right?" I chuckle and exclaim, "You know, you ask me that everyday." Mia wipes her hands off on a towel and giggles lightly, "I'm just messin' with ya."

She then walked over to me with a small smile and places the tuna in front of me. I mumble a thanks and take a bite out of the sandwich. Mia stares at me the entire time. "I honestly don't know how you put yourself through this everyday."

I looked up in surprise and whined, "I already told you. It's a great sandwich."

"You're lying." Mia giggled and then continued, "You want something to drink?" I looked up after flipping to the next page and said, "Soda with ice. You choose." Mia walked away and came back with a glass full of soda with ice and a Coke can. She placed it next to my plate and I lifted the cup to her to thank her before taking a sip.

She stared at me again and then smirked as she slung the magazine towards her. She flipped the page and we both stared at a red, white, and green race car. I smile up at her, noticing her good taste on imports.

The sounds of tires screeching and acceleration filled the street causing Mia and I to look out the garage door. I noticed it was Toretto's friends and slowly turned to my sandwich and continued eating.

Mia looks down at me with crossed arms and said, "Looks like we got more regular's coming in." I lift up my glass and before taking a sip, I replied, "Quick. Someone alert the media." Mia shook her head and rolled her eyes dramatically and walked back over to her notebook.
