Felix was exhausted as he walked down the bustling streets of Seoul, holding tightly onto the hand of his young daughter, Yongjin. The sun was setting and the city was coming to life with the hustle and bustle of people going about their day. Felix had just finished his shift at the local cafe where he worked as a server, and his feet ached from standing all day. But as a single parent, he had no choice but to work hard to provide for his daughter.
Felix couldn't help but feel a sense of bitterness as he saw happy families walking by, their children laughing and playing. He missed having someone to share the joys and struggles of parenthood with. But ever since he was marked and raped by his own alpha best friend, Hyunjin, Felix had lost all trust in people and closed himself off.
As they approached the park, Yongjin tugged on his hand excitedly, begging to play on the swings. Felix couldn't say no to his daughter's pleading eyes, so he relented and let her run off to play while he sat on a nearby bench, watching her with a fond smile.
But that smile disappeared when he saw a familiar figure walking towards him. It was Hyunjin, looking as handsome as ever with his mid-length hair and a mole under his left eye. Felix's heart clenched painfully at the sight of him, memories flooding back to that fateful night when his so-called best friend had taken advantage of him.
