Chapter 6

The doors open and they exit the Tardis to find Albert Einstein staring at them with a scared expression on his face.

Einstein: "Who are you? How did you get into my house?"

Present Mic: "Wait, Einstein can speak English!"

Doctor: "No, that's just the Tardis Translator."

Present Mic: "Ok?" Present Mic says while still being clueless on pretty much everything this man says.

Doctor: "Long time no see Albert."

Einstein: "I have never met you in my life."

Doctor: "Albert, it's me, the Doctor. Remember when we were theorising on Dark matter, and the fourth dimension, we stayed up all night that one time, eating snacks and what not. Or that time when I proved that your theory of relativity was almost completely wrong."

Einstein: "My Theory on relativity is wrong?"

The 11th Doctor's laugh and giddiness begins to awkwardly fade away. "You actually don't remember me."

Einstein: "No. I don't"

Doctor: "Oh wait, now I know. Alternate Universe, I must have never met you in this universe. Forgive me, a common misa…"

Einstein: "How did you manage to teleport with that Blue Box into my house?"

Doctor: "Wibbly, Wobbly timey wimey."

Einstein: "That is hardly a valid answer."

Doctor: "All you have to know is that we mean no harm."

Doctor: "These guys just want to ask a few questions."

Present Mic: "It's a pleasure to meet you Albert." Present Mic aggressively shakes Einstein's hand.

Midnight: "It's actually him, this is nuts."

Albert Einstein: "Umm…Thank you. "

Present Mic: "Can I please ask you some questions?"

Albert Einstein: "Ok?"

Present Mic: "Is it true that you failed your exams at one point?"

Midnight: "How did you get so smart?"

Present Mic: "What's up with your hairstyle?"

Midnight and Present Mic say while getting closer with each question.

Albert Einstein: "Uhhh"

-Back in the Tardis.

Aizawa: "Enough time has passed, now take us home!" Aizawa says

Doctor: "It can time travel, it may have felt like hours have passed but back home, not even a second."

Doctor: "Anyway, did someone mention Titanic?"

Midnight's eyes glistened as her expression switched to one of excitement.

Aizawa grunts, annoyed at how Midnight and Present Mic were acting. The Tardis dematerialises and rematerialises to Southampton, 1912, in an empty area in sight of the departure of the Titanic.

The three then exit the Tardis and before them stood the biggest ship of her time.

Midnight: "Wow, It's even better than I imagined."

Midnight sees the people waving from the Titanic and decides to wave back. "Goodbye, all of you." Midnight continues to wave before she stops and lowers her head almost out of shame for how happy she just was.

Midnight: "I forgot that most of those people are going to die and they don't even know. Doctor…why don't you save them?"

Doctor: "I wish I could but like I said if what I did affects my decision to travel in the past, then I could be wiped from existence or all those people would be instead or time could spiral out of control, anything to restore the cracks in time."

Midnight: "But how do you know this if doing so would mean that moment never actually happened?"

Doctor: "Because I remember. Timelords remember everything.” The Doctor remains silent for a moment before he begins talking again. “Even then, I’ve actually done it before but it was only possible because the Tardis can handle certain Paradoxes and when trying to maintain it, it would go through unbearable agony until eventually the Tardis collapses in on itself, leaving the universe to crumble shortly afterwards."

Midnight: "How long would all that take?"

Doctor: "It's hard to estimate but the Tardis could probably last around 1,000 years. A lot of time but at the same time, no time at all."

Doctor: "That's why I made a promise to myself, I can't save everyone."

Aizawa: "How much can it handle?"

Doctor: "I don't know but the most I've made it handle was a family of 4 back in Pompei a few years back."

Aizawa: "Only 4?"

Doctor: "In terms of numbers but there was another time, one time I want to forget. Someone was meant to die. Someone very important, you wouldn't know them so don't ask. I knew they were going to die and something just ticked because I chose to save them despite it being a fixed point in time, I guess I was just sick and tired of not being able to do anything."

Midnight: "So, what happened after that, to the Universe?"

Doctor: "Nothing because she ended up killing herself the same night."

Aizawa, Midnight and Present Mic are taken aback by this.

Doctor: "At first I was upset, angry about how she denied my help but she helped me understand that I wasn't as important as I thought I was, I was just a madman in control of something important, and so that man can't be trusted. She made sure I would never forget that."

Doctor: "And since then, I haven't saved anyone I knew I couldn't."

Midnight: "I'm sorry to hear that."

Doctor: "Oh don't be sorry, I've almost become desensitised to it at this point."

Doctor: "So, anywhere else?" The Doctor smiles again despite the three teachers still being distraught. Everyone was quiet for a moment or two before a horn blasted through the air. The Titanic began to move and head off, to New York. They stare at the Titanic for a few minutes as it begins to shrink into the distance.

Aizawa: "I think it's best we go home."

Midnight and Present Mic nod in agreement.

The four enter the Tardis.

Doctor: "Aizawa. Could you please untie me now?"

Aizawa stares at him for a second before going behind the doctor.

Aizawa: "There. Happy?" The Doctor does a few stretches with his arms, outstretching his suspenders before flicking them back on his body.

Doctor: "Ok, Sexy. Let's go home."

Present Mic: "Did he just call Aizawa Sexy?"

Midnight: "Fair enough but I don't see it."

Doctor looks back from the console towards Present Mic and Midnight whilst pointing at the time rotor. "I was talking to her."

Midnight sways her hip to one side and raises her eyebrow. "So you call a Blue Box sexy?"

Doctor: "Yeah and you think that hair is appropriate for any situation, so that makes us even."

Midnight insecurely feels her hair whilst Present Mic snickers beside her before he's interrupted by a swift punch to the shoulder.

Midnight stares back at the Doctor: "And to think I was beginning to like you."

Doctor: "You insulted me first." 

The Doctor then shrugs her off as he begins flipping levers and switches. The Tardis then begins to head back to UA.
