INIKA's POV:

"Who...who are you?" I asked, my curiosity tinged with a hint of fear.

"Aww, you broke my heart by asking this." He said as if we're having a normal conversation. "But don't worry, I'll introduce myself... since you're going to be here for quite a while." His words sent shivers down my spine.

"I'm Cedric Fitzgerald. But you can call me Cedi." he said, a smirk playing on his lips, giving off an eerie vibe.

Wait a minute, did he just say 'Cedi'? Why does that name sound so familiar?

"Excuse me? I don't care who the hell you are, just release me from these damn chains!" I exclaimed angrily.

"Haha... I haven't even started yet, and you're already so angry," he said, slowly approaching me.

I don't know why but unconsciously, I found myself backing away until my feet touched the edge of the bed. His presence felt dangerous, and I knew I had to find a way to escape.

"Please, just let me go. I don't know who you are, but I'm not who you think I am." I pleaded with him.

"You think I made a mistake in recognizing you? ME?" he said, his last word filled with disbelief.

"Haha...it's funny, Innie." he chuckled, placing extra emphasis on the last word.

Astonishment instantly registered on my face, evident through my visible expressions. Simultaneously, my heart rate quickened.

"How...how do you know?" I stammered, taken aback.

"Don't be so surprise. I possess a deeper understanding of you than you realize. After all you hold great significance in my life," he whispered, gently stroking my cheeks.

"Don't touch me." I immediately jerk off his hand and as soon as I was about to use the pen on him, I don't know if he has a sixth sense but he instantly caught my hand in midair and with the other my throat before I would do something to him.

"Keep your hands off me!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with a mix of fear and anger. Without a second thought, I forcefully removed his hand from my arm, feeling a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins. The tension in the air was palpable as I prepared myself for what might come next.

As I reached for the pen, my mind raced with thoughts of self-defense. However, before I could even make a move, he swiftly intercepted my hand, his reflexes seemingly honed to perfection. In an instant, his grip tightened around my throat, cutting off my air supply. Panic surged through my body as I desperately tried to pry his fingers away, but his hold only grew stronger. The realization of my vulnerability in that moment sent shivers down my spine.

"Don't pull stunts on me, as it will ultimately result in negative consequences for yourself." he cautioned, his words laced with a hint of warning. However, his mischievous smirk remained plastered on his face, suggesting that he found amusement in the situation.

The pen slipped from my grasp, tumbling to the ground as panic surged through my body. Desperate to regain control, I instinctively reached for my throat, hoping to loosen the tightening grip that was constricting my airway. However, my efforts proved futile as his hold on my throat only grew stronger, intensifying my struggle to break free from his relentless grasp.

As if out of nowhere, a powerful surge of dizziness engulfed me, causing the figure standing before me to become distorted and indistinct. The periphery of my sight gradually dimmed, and it seemed as though the very ground beneath my feet was undulating. My mind whirled, and maintaining clarity became an arduous task. In that fleeting moment, it felt as if the entire world had conspired to dissolve into nothingness, leaving me precariously balanced on the precipice of unconsciousness.
