I don't know exactly when it happened, but at some point, my favourite booktubers became my target audience. Here were readers telling me exactly what they wanted to read at the same exact moment that I was crafting a book.
Don't know if it was a conscious or subconscious choice, but I found myself writing my books for my favourite booktubers, catering to their likes and dislikes, threading their most-liked tropes through the storyline. Against all odds, this turned out to be a great experience.
Watching other creatives work on their craft was inspiring and I can honestly say that without them, I couldn't have completed this vampire action-adventure quest romance trilogy.
