In the town of Davao, a diligent student named Alexander M. Amores navigated the harsh waters of high school with unparalleled determination. Despite his unwavering commitment to excel academically, he found himself immersed in a whirlwind of self-imposed pressure and unspoken burdens.

The pressing weight of his family's financial woes gnawed at him, a relentless specter that refused to grant him the solace of sleep. The nagging responsibility to contribute financially clawed at his conscience, transforming the night into an unending loop of stress and guilt.      With the burden of his family's economic turmoil weighing heavily on his young shoulders, Alex's parents, masked in strained smiles, shielded him from the harsh truth. Each passing night became a battlefield where sleeplessness waged war on his physical and mental well-being.

The flickering light of his desk lamp illuminated pages of hastily written job applications, each one representing a desperate attempt to bridge the financial struggle that seemed to widen with every passing day coupled with the harsh reality of being a 17-year-old, unable to legally apply for a job, intensified his frustration and deepened his sense of helplessness.

The academic battlefield became his battleground, he developed a coping mechanism where good grades were the only refuge he had from the bitterness of his life creating his false sense of achievement. But with every victory came a new set of expectations, and the pressure bore down on him like a relentless storm. Sleepless nights and caffeine-fueled days became the norm as he strived for an unattainable perfection.

Alex sought refuge in video games, hoping for a brief escape from reality's suffocation. Initially a distraction, the gaming realm soon mirrored his unraveling sanity. Each virtual defeat became a personal blow, a cruel reminder of his real-life struggles. The once-soothing escape morphed into a trigger for fits of rage, echoing his inability to conquer the challenges besieging him. This tragic transformation, where virtual losses intertwined with real-world hardships, intensified his despair, creating a vicious cycle of emotional turmoil. Every setback, whether in pixels or life, felt like a personal affront.

His isolation grew, and even the once-comforting tunes of his favorite songs turned into a dissonant chorus of torment. The voices, once friendly guides, now whispered poison, eroding the last shreds of his sanity. Late-night confessions to his bedroom walls turned into desperate pleas for release, but the shadows only deepened. His favorite songs, once a sanctuary, now served as a cruel reminder of his inability to escape the suffocating reality.

The melodies that once brought comfort transformed into haunting lullabies that played on a loop in his mind, further fueling the insomnia that gripped him. Middle-of-the-night confessions to his bedroom walls became the norm. The voices offered counsel, their advice a blend of encouragement and derision. Alex's grip on reality began to loosen as the lines between his internal struggles and external pressures blurred into an indistinct amalgamation of chaos.

One ordinary day in the crowded classrooms of Crestwood High, the noise of his classmates became a symphony of derision in Alex's ears. What was once innocent chatter transformed into a mocking cacophony, teasing and belittling him in his perception. In a sudden, desperate eruption, he snapped. The door clicked shut, the metallic sound punctuating his isolation. He screamed, his words carrying an unhinged tone, each syllable dripping with frustration and despair.

The classroom, once a space of learning, became a stage for Alex's unraveling sanity. In a moment of madness, he seized a classmate by the hair, eyes wide with a mixture of fear and confusion. His grip was firm, but the intent was more an expression of desperation than harm.

He screamed, not just in anger, but in a desperate attempt to drown out the perceived taunts and mockery as the turmoil reached its peak, the unhinged emotions caused by the many burdens finally drove Alex insane; he has lost all sense of cognition and emotion, he finally erupts after hearing his classmates voice mock him for the last time, as he beat the person in front of him senseless, pulling out a gun and e reaches for his back pulling out a gun he brought to end his life after the class, he shoots it blindly in the air attempting to end everybody in the room. The other students manage to escape, leaving Alex alone with the mess he's created.

The final scene unfolded in haunting silence. Alex sat amidst the wreckage of shattered dreams, the toll of sleepless nights etched on his youthful face, the haunting whispers finally gave way to a profound silence. Alex sat alone, surrounded by the aftermath of his descent into madness. He clutched his head, shaking and exhausted, as he stared blankly into the void.

The haunting whispers had subsided, replaced only by the ghostly echoes of the lives he had shattered.Overwhelmed with emotion his insanity driven mind gives Alex the sign he has been looking for, seemingly a light in the end of the tunnel, a surplus solution, he slowly lifts his gun and points it shakily up his jaw. As his cold sweat breaks contact with the gun, his trigger finger slipped and fired a bullet breaking his jaw and a non-fatal part of his head, killing him slowly.

His blood drenched body splatters to the ground as he tries to plead with his mind to give him a recollection of his fondest memories. His favorite music began to fill his ears as if hearing it for the first time, he tries to grin with his broken jawAs he mouthed the lyrics to his favorite song,

the words fell from his lips like a tired, frantic chant. In the dimly lit room, the flickering shadows danced across his face, revealing the remnants of a brilliant mind now lost to the depths of insanity.
