I understand my writing style isn't your normal way of writing I adopted it after I read a book many years ago and I have zero tolerance for writing the "he said she said" blah blah blah. This is my first time publishing anything I've written so as much feed back as possible is appreciated, but don't be hateful. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this story. I fly by the seat of my pants. I hope you enjoy the read.

Ella's POV

The sun was just rising over the horizon but Ella had been up for an hour. She knew she had to get out and start exercising before the rest of the pack got upand chased her off the track. She is a social outcast for being the offspring of a Survivor. Twenty years ago a strange illness had taken the lives of thousands of wolves, most of them females. It had completely destroyed two packs and those who survived joined other packs to avoid becoming rouge. Her parents had been Survivors and had come to this pack to start over as betas. No one knew where they had come from and no one knew her mother had been the daughter of an Alpha. All they knew is they needed a place to go and their betas had been taken by the illness. So they accepted them. Ella had exactly one friend in the pack, Tina, also a Survivor offspring. As Ella stepped off the track Tina joined her to go start making breakfast for the pack.

Tina: Do you think we'll ever get out of here?

Ella: some day we will. Our mates will save us or we'll leave to search for them. They can't force us to stay. By law they have to let us go when we get our wolf if our mate isn't in our pack. I am not staying here. I'm tired of keeping my head down and doing the alphas bidding just to avoid another beating. And I certainly cannot keep putting up with my father and his drinking problem. He threw a bottle at me last night because I came home one minute late last night.

Tina: I wish it wasn't like this either. Gamma Tegan said that he would lock me up in the cellar again if I forgot to mop the stairs again. But I did! It's not my fault the pack doesn't know how to take off their shoes after training. Why were you late last night? We finished at the same time.

Ella: the alpha stopped me. He said he wanted to have a meeting with me and my father today after breakfast. I don't know what is with him lately. He's been super nice to me the last couple of months. He even gave me clothes! I don't trust it. I think they are up to something, I think they are going to sell me off to another pack and don't want me squealing about being treated poorly by him.

Tina: that does sound suspicious. Maybe being sold off wouldn't be the worst thing? Id give anything to get out of here. Even if it was just a transaction like that. Nothing can be as bad as being a test dummy to their sadistic minds. I still can't talk to my wolf and it's been two days since the last injection.

Ella: I know. Mira is right there I can feel her again but I can't talk to her. She's angry. She wants us to shift early and just run away. But I don't think I'm strong enough for her to force a shift like that. I've never heard of a wolf shifting before their 18th birthday.

Tina: Sage is feeling the same way. But she knows we can't shift early. She's not strong enough either without the full moon. Our birthdays are only three days away and on the full moon. We can hold on three more days.

Ella: I hope so. I think the pack doctor went to some conference unexpectedly this morning so we should be left alone. If we can get the wolfsbane out of our systems fast enough maybe we can wolf out and get away before he comes back to subdue them again.

Tina shrugs her shoulders as they walk into the kitchen in the pack house and start making breakfast. They are not allowed to speak in the house unless spoken to. They have a huge list of tasks every day ranging from cleaning the pack house to planning parties for pack members and lunches for alpha meetings. The guest rooms always had to be primed and ready for any visitors they may get, Ella always looked forward to having visitors. It meant that no one could be mean to her. The pack always acted like a happy harmonious group when outsiders were around. But the second they left her and Tina would get beaten and dosed with wolfsbane for some minor infraction they were accused of doing. And sometimes if it was bad enough they would get a beating. Ella would get extra beatings from her father too. Though they had slowed down a lot over the last couple weeks. She wasn't sure why. The bruises and cuts from her last beating had almost healed and the scars had started to fade from her body finally. The mental ones remained though and she didn't trust her father. He was up to something and she knew it.

After breakfast Tina and Ella were washing the dishes and starting the laundry they had collected from the rooms while the others ate when Alpha Cornilious came into the kitchen.

Cornilious: Ella would you please join me in my office? There is something we need to discuss. And you, girl, these chores had better be done on time. I know you are dumb but you can do it alone. Ella will not be helping you anymore.

In complete confusion Ella silently followed her Alpha to his office. He sat down at his desk and motioned for her to sit opposite him in the chair. She obediently sat.

Cornilious: so. Your father and I have been talking, and to settle his debts to me for the copious levels of alcohol he drinks and for the future we have come to an agreement. You will become my chosen mate. Sine our Luna died before I had a chance to have an heir I need someone young and pretty and with decent bloodlines to carry my pups. And you fit the bill. You get all the perks of being a Luna, attending meetings and running the pack. You will get a comfortable room for the nights you aren't satisfying me. You will have no power over my pack though, I still make the rules here and I don't care if they treat you poorly. If you behave like a good girl you won't get any more wolfsbane. One foot out of line or if you refuse to satisfy me I'll start them up again. And if you still refuse I'll kill you myself. Well hold the Luna ceremony in a week. And I will mark you as mine. Don't get any bright ideas about running away though. You still have to set up for the arrival of the other alphas and the warriors have been warned not to let you out of the pack house until after the ceremony. They will drag you back and it'll be the end for you. I've decided to let you have today off as a treat and a taste of what it will be like to be my mate. You are dismissed.

As she turns to leave she feels him right behind her and turns in fear. He's towering above her with a lustful look in his eyes. He takes some of her hair gently in his hands and plays with it.

Cornilious: hmm. I can't wait to have a fistful of this hair and hear you screaming underneath me. It's a shame I can't take you right now. But I will wait. The best things come to those who wait.

He lets her go and she takes off running to the laundry room where she knows she will be safe for at least a few minutes.

It's empty when she arrives and she sinks to the floor in tears. How could her father and alpha do this? Why is the goddess allowing this to happen. She should be with her true mate. Not some sick alphas broodmare.

So what do you guys think so far? Let me know in the comments. I'll wait a few days and if you like it I'll keep going with it. I have lots of ideas for this story! Thanks for reading!
