#Leaving Home#

Here is the first chapter... Please enjoy!!

Hyunjin's POV

"Gosh... It's 6:30 am already, I just need another 5 more minutes..." I groaned as I smashed the noisy alarm and pulled the blanket over my head.

"Hyunjin... Get down here right now!" my mother shouted from downstairs. "Hyunjin get up. We're gonna be late buddy." Dad opened my bedroom door and left it open like that.

I could hear the noisy blender from the kitchen, and I couldn't close my eyes anymore. I got out of bed and my feet were exposed to the cool morning breeze. 

I dragged myself to my bathroom to get ready. I'm the only child in my family and my parents make that obvious.

'-Hyunjin, have you started dating buddy?

-Hyunjin, are we going to see your girlfriend?

-Hyunjin, when am I going to see my daughter-in-law?'

That is all to our conversation recently and I just feel pressured in some way. It's like they are emphasizing that they want a daughter-in-law, nothing more nothing less. They are always giving making homophobia remarks. 

I know they are not that kind of people; I trust them. Why am I even thinking about this right now? It's not like I'm gay or bisexual or anything like that, I'm the straightest guy I know.

Anyway, after taking a shower and brushing my teeth, I looked at my reflection one last time as I shouldered my bag. I looked at my room which was tidy and neatly organized, "See you soon buddy!" I smiled and made my way downstairs. 

I'm going to miss my room but the thought of going to my dream university and the freedom that will come with it boosted my mood. 

Angja barked as he ran towards me, I smiled at him and crouched to pat his head. He leaned to my touch and licked my hand, "A good morning to you Angja." I said on the chair near the kitchen counter and placed my bag on top. 

"Morning sweetie." Mom said and she placed a plate of toast, bacon, and eggs in front of me. 

"Morning Mom." I smiled at her, and she returned the smile. "You look happier than yesterday... Are you finally happy now that you're leaving?" she asked and I dramatically gasped. 

"OMG, how did you know?" I heard my father laugh and my mother pouted. "Anyways, did you pack everything you'll need? Your laptop, phone, headphones even though those things are not good for your ears, and all your clothes? 

Oh, and don't forget warm cloths and your toothbrush. And please take your posters along with you, I don't wanna see them on my wall now that you're leaving..." she gagged, and I rolled my eyes. 

"He is a man for goodness' sake..." my father laughed. I stuffed my mouth with my breakfast as my mother packed a huge Tupperware box full of muffins. Dad brought me a glass of orange juice and placed it on the counter. 

"Take this, you can give these to your friends." I took the box, and the muffins were smelling great, fresh from the oven.

"Sure... Thanks, Mom. As if I have any friend..." I murmured the last part to myself. Mom went to start the car since she was the one who was going to be driving. My father doesn't even have a driver's license and I'm sure he will never get one. 

"Sweetie, let's go." Mom shouted as I shouldered my bag and Dad took the muffin box for me since the luggage was already in the car. 

On the way, all I heard was my mother telling me to take care of myself, 'Call if you don't feel well, or might as well come back home for the weekends, etc.' We arrived after what felt like forever, and they dropped me at my building. 

"Thank you. I'll take it from here." I smiled and my father peeked through my mother's window, "Boy, don't do what I wouldn't do." I smiled at him, and my mother started the car before he could even go on. 

"Finally... I'm here." A small smile played on my face, and I released a small sigh.
