chapter 1

CHAPTER 1
LIBBY'S POV:
I looked through the window and saw Molly on the phone, and it looked like she was arguing with someone.

Molly McGee is my best friend since I could remember since we're neighbors, also the girl that I'm in love with. But she belongs to someone else. The most popular girl, Andrea. Make sure to pronounce it like Ahn-drea not Ann-drea. I learned that the hard way. She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers, for I'm on the band and Molly is on the girls and boys football team. She's the best player on the team, and the most popular jock girl, but she's nice with me. And she and Andrea are the 'perfect couple'. Except Andrea isn't the greatest girlfriend, she's going off at Molly for something that she said cause she doesn't get her humor like I do.

'You ok?' I write on a notebook and face it towards her window

She looks over and smiles and writes something in her notebook before turning it around.

'Yeah, just a little tired of the drama'

'I'm sorry:('

'It's okay' She writes before closing her curtains

'I love you' I wrote and turned it around to her curtain but put it away.

NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL
I was walking with Molly to class because we have homeroom together when the announcements went off

'HAPPY TUESDAY STUDENTS, WE HAVE OUR FOOTBALL GAME AGAINST PERFECTBORG, LET'S PROVE THAT THEY AREN'T SO PERFECT! Also Turnip pizza for lunch today'

Me and Molly laughed at the announcement

"Oh boy I love me some turnip pizza! So rare!"

She sarcastically says, pushing around her arms like a sailor

"We never have it! It's not like we have it every day or anything!" I laugh

We continue to laugh until we hear a
"Ohh Mollyy~ We have to go to practice now."

Andrea says, dragging her away while strutting away with her high heels and I frown looking down at my worn out sneakers

'Why can't you see? You belong with me' I think to myself

AFTER SCHOOL
I'm in my room, it's a typical Tuesday night. I'm listening to Taylor Swift, who Andrea hates btw, while getting ready for the football game and getting into my ginormous band uniform and started dancing around my room to 'Shake It Off' before my alarm goes off yelling at me to get going so I say goodbye to my mom and start walking to the school humming to 'You Belong With Me' until I reach the Brighton High School's football stadium and I walk up to my spot on the band's part of the bleachers and wait for the game to start.

When the football team began to walk in the audience and cheer team began to cheer and the band began to play their instruments.

Going a bit into the game, the team scored a point and the cheerleaders cheered and did their dance whatever that's called and the band played louder and someone bumped into me nearly causing me to fall down the bleachers but I caught myself just in time before I could fall. After that point we were even against the Perfectborg's team, we just need one more point then we'll win

"One more point, then we'll be victorious! Will Molly McGee be able to do it? She has the ball!"
I cheered loudly but heard Andrea yell

"Yeah, go Molly!"

"AAANNNDDD..... SHE SCORES! MOLLY MCGEE SCORES AND WE WIN!"

I loudly cheered and the audience began to cheer and the cheerleaders did the cheer they were taught to do when they won, and the football team walked inside to the locker rooms and the band began to leave to the front and I waited around for Molly.

I see her walk out after a few minutes and I begin to run up to her but Andrea beats me to her and hugs her and runs away and runs over to some guy, and seems a little.. Touchy? And she complimented him more than she did to Molly, her own girlfriend.. I furrow my eyebrows and watch for a second before hearing Molly call out my name and I run up to her and hug her

"You were so good out there! I'm so jealous I can't play like that in front of big crowds" I say and she blushes a bit and looks to the side.

"Aw I wasn't THAT good, the band was good as well! I heard you cheering up there" She smiled widely and I try to refrain my blush

'She has a smile that could light up this whole town.. Haven't seen it in a while since she brought her down.. What is she doing with a girl like that?' I think to myself as we're walking back to our houses.

We were walking and talking and laughing until we reached our houses

"Well, see you tomorrow?" Molly asks

"Yup" I reply, giving a small smile before walking back inside

I get ready for bed and lay down. I think to myself 'You belong with me, you belong with me..' as I'm falling asleep
