THE ATMOSPHERE WAS COLD, GLOOMY IN A WAY.
"In spite of yesterday's tragic events" Highbottom announces to the group sat amongst him in a large hall. I sat next to Sejanus and listened in to what our small but commanding Dean had to say. My eyes looked around the room and spotted a couple other tributes, my eyes specifically laid on my own.
"Our president has decided that the games must go on. Show the capitol is afraid of such acts of terror." I scoffed at the sight, the games shouldn't go on, I respect my uncle but there was no way continuing with the games was right. I look down into my lap forcing any sort of emotion trying to be let out down. Sejanus saw me and patted me on the back supportively, he was the only one worried about my wellbeing after I had just lost my best friend in such a tragic way. No one had an ounce of sympathy for me. No one. She may have been a terrible person, but at least pay condolences. No one deserves to die in such a terrible way.
"From which end, Dr. Gaul wishes you to preview the arena this afternoon, with your tributes. Later this evening, there will be a special televised presentation of each tribute to our audience to get to know them" Dean Highbottom announces. I thought of ways I could get Jesse to look appealing to the audience, a way to get him to get sponsors. "You'll have an hour to discuss."
