Breakfast rush hour was at its strongest right now. People were buying food to take to work or just to grab a quick bite. The restaurant was full of customers, around nine is when the flow calms down. I had a moment to glance at my phone and was reminded of last night's events. With a heavy heart I locked my screen ignoring the text messages blowing up my phone.
I didn't want to ignore Kuroo and Kenma, truly. Yes, what they did hurt me a little but I know they didn't mean anything bad by it. This wasn't the first time it's happened, they always hang out with their friends and I try not to intervene because their friends aren't mine.
It's sad sometimes because I don't have friends of my own. I was fine being their friend in elementary but going into highschool it did become lonesome. Most girls only befriended me because of their infatuation towards the volleyball team and more specifically Kuroo and Kenma.
Kuroo always saw right through the friends I made quicker than I did. He always looked out for me and took care of me like a brother would. Kuroo knew every person's real intentions, he would always turn down every girl that tried to hit on him. Not because he didn't like them but because he told me that if they couldn't truly be my friend and his partner, then there was no pure love for that relationship.
Kenma was never interested in things that didn't involve his games. He always had his eyes glued to a screen. Despite all that, he was there for me through everything. Kenma is brutally honest and it always helped me come to terms with crappy situations quickly. If I had a dilemma, Kenma had a logical solution for it. When I was alone his house was my safe place, my hang out spot, my second home. His family became mine and they always made it known that I was never intruding.
I often go over to their shared apartment and make them food. We watch movies in our free time. They always let me stay over when it gets too late for me to walk back to my apartment. Kenma loves when I make his favorite apple pie, and Kuroo likes to annoy me with their unorganized cupboards because he knows when I go over, I'll fix it. Kenma and I play video games and when we're not doing that, I'm studying with Kuroo.
