Charlottes POV:
I wake up to the loud beeping of my alarm, but I choose to ignore it. It's the last day of school before I go on break and I'm not going to school for one day, all we're doing is waiting movies. Jasmine my best friend isn't going either so I didn't see the point.
20 minutes pass and I'm still asleep when I hear a gentle knock on my door, then I hear my dad ask through the small crack in my door "Are you up yet buddy, It's your last day of school until break."
I slowly awake and reply "I don't feel good dad, I'm not sure that I can go to school today."
Which isn't a total lie, I don't feel good, every part of my body hurts and I'm dreading the next few weeks, I just want some time alone before I have to deal with the holidays. I love my dad and we're very close so I knew he would see right through my lie, but I'm hoping he lets me out of it today because I'm just not in the mood.
Travis: "What's wrong buddy?"
Charlie: "Everything hurts and I'm tired dad"
Travis: "Hmmm, I'll let you stay off school if you promise me you will behave today, I cant be home I'm at training so I need to trust you can look after yourself. I won't be home until around 6 tonight."
Charlie: "I'll be ok dad, I promise."
Dad walks over to my bed and gives me a hug, usually I'm not that appreciative of hugs but today I really needed it.
Travis: "Goodbye sweetie."
He walks out of my room. Finally I'm alone. I roll over and go back to sleep.
Travis POV:
When I left Charlottes room, I knew something was up with her, I just wasn't sure what, but I hope that she will tell me if something is going on. Usually Charlie loves school so her not wanting to go concerns me. I am going to try and come home early from training to check on her. And then, I have a surprise for her.
I text my girlfriend good morning, grab my bags and leave for training. Once I get to training I will text Charlie to check up on her.
