(I want to start off by apologising for not writing a chapter in a while, I genuinely have no good excuse as to why I haven't and I'm very sorry. In terms of Taylor Updates: I hate Jo Koy or whatever his name is, her golden globes outfit was amazing, someone taught mother how to swag surf!, her game outfits have been incredible, she did not announce Rep TV on new years (too busy kissing Trav, and now she's posting random pics on T Nation ahhhhhhh. Anyway I hope you enjoy the chapter, things are heating up pretty quick, and as always if you ever want to chat my messages are always open x)
Charlottes POV:
I wake up to a light tap on my shoulder and Taylor's soft voice telling me to wake up and that we've arrived. I look up and see my dad is still on the phone, Taylor tells me he's been off his first call for a while and only got a new call as we started our decent which is good, because I don't like it when he overworks himself. I stretch out my arms, and my hoodie slips down my arms ever so slightly, I begin to panic and hope that she didn't see, I look down and see her looking for what's seems to be lip balm in her handbag, and when she looks up she gives me a small smile and asks if I am ready to go. I calm down a little, as it seems she didn't notice my cuts, I have to remember to be more careful. She lifts the blanket off my lap quickly folds it up and puts it back behind me, and as I stand up she places her hand gently on my back, and we climb down the stairs and off her jet.
Travis POV:
As we walk off the jet I take a moment to appreciate the fast bond that Taylor and Charlie have developed. For pretty much the whole flight Charlie was asleep on Taylor's shoulder, which is unexpected but very welcomed, it takes a lot of time for Charlie to trust people so the fact that she's already falling asleep on her shoulder is good news to me. I'm glad their already comfortable around each other, I think Taylor will be good for Charlotte.
Taylor's POV:
Charlotte was asleep on my shoulder for at least half of the flight, she's so cute when she sleeps. Trav and I managed to talk for quite a while as well, Charlie coming into conversation every once and a while, I didn't bring up how she was doing after Trav rang me about her yesterday, just incase she woke up, I would hate to know that I might have violated her privacy but knowing something I shouldn't.
As we get off the plane I place my hand on her back and help her down the stairs in her sleepy state. My jet taxied into the hangar so we don't have to worry about paps which I'm grateful for. Travis gets inside the black SUV first followed by Charlie, then me. My security Greg loads our bags into the back and hops in the front passenger seat, and my driver Martin, stats the engine and reverses out of the safety of the hager and onto the road. I always get nervous when driving around even though I know I'm safe, especially now with Travis and Charlie in the car.
Travis POV:
We pull into Taylor's Rhode Island home garage, I knew her house was big but this is beyond anything I could ever imagine, as it was dark when we got there, we saw the gorgeous Christmas lights hanging from the exterior of the home and in the distance could see lights from ships on the horizon of the ocean. Charlie beats me to the flattery of Taylors house with a "Wow"
Travis: "Damn"
Taylor: "It's pretty nice hey"
Charlie: "Pretty nice might be the understatement of the year it's beautiful."
Taylor: "Awww thanks Charlie, I'm glad you like it."
Charlie's POV:
"Awww thanks charlie, I'm glad you like it." Taylor says as she wraps me in a side hug, I'm not good with affection in any form, but I leaned into the hug like it's the last hug I will ever get from a human being. This is it, the motherly love I have been craving for years. Taylor opens the car door and Dad and I grab our bags from the boot (trunk - in NZ we usually call it a boot) and we walk inside. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside, with a large white grand piano in the centre of the stairwell, the kitchen visible beyond the staircase.
Taylor: "Why don't we get you both settled and I can do a tour in the morning"
Travis: "Sounds good lead the way"
We head up the staircase and Taylor points to a room with a traditional looking glossy white door and a classy gold handle. "This is your room Charlotte, and across the hall, the door on the far left, is mine and your dads room if you ever need anything don't hesitate to come in, we don't bite, promise. She opens the door and I nearly let out an audible gasp.
