Year~ 2045

Ian and Anthony were now in their fifties and both their kids were in college. To be completely honest, Ian and Anthony were kind of bored. So they decided to call up Matt and Mari to go on a double date. They would invite Lasercorn and his wife, but they were helping Olive and Lasercorn Jr. with wedding plans. Yup, they were engaged and the wedding was in three weeks. And in case you were wondering, Adrian and Maria had just gotten married 6 months ago and were expecting a child at the end of the year.

Matt and Mari were kind of bored too, they were around the same age as Ian and Anthony, and Maria was out of the house, and their son, Mario (16 years old) was at a friend's house for the night, so they accepted.

They all decided to meet at the park for a picnic.

Ian and Anthony had arrived first, hand in hand as they started setting up the picnic. This park meant a lot to them, it was the same park where the got married and the same place they had buried Daisy two years ago when she died. Ian still cried sometimes thinking about it.

When Ian started to look sad, Anthony hugged him tightly and said," Shhhh baby, it's okay. I'm here, and we'll be together forever. Smile. Our friends are coming and we're going to have a lovely day with them. But if you ever wanna go home, tell me, and we'll go."

Ian smiled bittersweetly at his husband who he loved to the moon and back.

"There is nothing in the world that means more to me than you, Anthony. You're always here for me, and I know you always will be." Ian started to tear up as he said it.

Anthony started to tear up as well.

"I'm just thinking out loud." Ian said as he hugged his husband again.

All of a sudden, Anthony's eyes went wide and he grabbed his chest. He was having a fatal heart attack. Ian was freaking out.

"Stay with me, Anthony! We'll get through this! Please don't leave me!" Ian pleaded.

"Ian, I love you so, so much. Never forget that. We found love right where we are, you know. This spot, right here, is where we got married. Tell the kids I love them. And even when I am gone, just never forget that I love you so, so freaking much! Goodbye, Ian. I lo-" Anthony's inhaled sharply and stopped breathing, stopped moving, stopped doing anything. Ian was beyond heartbroken.

Matt and Mari showed up a few minutes after the dilemma had happened. Ian was crying and shaking and he couldn't stop. Matt and Mari were crying too, but they didn't have it as bad as Ian, so they decided to drive him to their house so he didn't have to go home alone.

"Just gi-i-ive me a minute." Ian pleaded. "I need to regather my thoughts."

Matt and Mari nodded sympathetically and walked to the car to wait for him.

Ian's thoughts were morbid and depressing.

It's not okay

You aren't here

We won't be together forever

I can't smile, not when you're gone

This is not a lovely day

My world is now dead

I'm falling apart

Anthony can't always be here for me. Not anymore. He's gone.

I have no one who loves me as much as we loved each other

Ian made a drastic decision. He got a knife from the picnic basket he and Anthony had spent all morning putting together, and slashed his throat.

He couldn't bare to live without his loving husband.

He couldn't survive without him.

He just couldn't.

And on that gloomy morning, that bench that the two lovers had started the beginning of love at, was now the place where the two lovers ended their lives.

"Till death do we part" is a lie.

Their love is eternal.

They have never stopped loving each other, and they never will.
