Chapter One: Costume
“I can do this" I breathed staring down at the clothes my partner had brought me earlier this morning. Ever since my boss had told me I was going under cover at my old high school I had been freaking out and trust me I never turned down a case but this one cut a little too close to home. I tried to get another agent for the job but he told me I would be on desk duty for a month if I didn’t do this job.
Then he walked off mumbling something about me being the only one who could pass as an 18 year old. "You ready jones" my partner said slapping me on my butt. "Yeah Eddie" I said strapping my gun to my ankle. Eddie and I had been partner for 4 years and he seemed a little more than over joyed that he got to watch me make a fool of myself. "Oh sorry I mean Sarah" I rolled my eyes at him as I button the top of my jeans. Why teenagers buy jeans that purposely have holes in them is beside me and this makeup 'eewwwww'."Ok how do I look?"
He stared at me a minute before he spoke.
"Great" he coughed
I chuckled under my breath. Guys were so obvious.
"Eddie eyes up here" I screeched noticing him staring at the cleavage the shirt gave me.
"Sorry"
"I thought I was going to High School not auditioning for a hooters commercial" I put my hands on my hips ignoring the way his adams apple bobbed as I said this.
Eddie had been chasing after me for years but id told him as nicely as I could that I didn’t like him that way. It wasn’t because he wasn’t handsome cause trust me he was, even I couldn’t ignore the way women stared at him with his shaggy black hair green eyes and well-built torso he was any girls fantasy just... not mine. He was more of a brother to me than anything else.
"Hey, don't look at me I had nothing to do with the outfit, the boss’s daughter picked it out" I blew out a breath annoyed.
"Fine whatever, let’s get this thing started" I said opening the van doors, hopping out.
