(Writers note - Hello there, I hope you enjoyed the first part! It has been quite a while since I've done any serious writing so I know I'm still rusty. Hopefully as the story goes on, I can shake off the rust! Now let's go meet our favorite psychotic flower!)

Two times in the span of just 20 minutes. I really hope that falling down holes isn't gonna be a regular thing that happens to me. As I sit up, a bit disoriented from the fall, I let out a whistle at my surroundings. The ruins had a certain aged feeling to them but at least they were mostly intact. Wherever I ended up was basically crumbling apart. It felt darker, more ominous. Who knows how old this place is or if anyone even lives here?

I place my hand on the ground in order to push myself up just to feel something soft. I look down just to see another smaller bed of golden flowers had kindly broken my fall. Now, I was convinced these flowers were magic! I look up and see that I had fallen quite a ways. There was no way to climb up and only one way forward into these... Dark Ruins. Yeah, I'd say that's a good name for them. While I felt bad, knowing Toriel would be freaking out, I couldn't just wait here. I had to keep moving, I had to find out the truth.

Standing up on shaky legs, I once again check for injuries, and once again find none. These flowers really are convenient. However, as I check my small knapsack, I scowl as I realize that the missing poster was missing. "Damn, must've slipped out when I fell... I guess it doesn't matter too much. Not like there are many humans roaming around down here. It should be easy to find them if they are... No I will find them, alive and safe." I tell myself to psych myself up before moving onwards, a steely look in my eyes.

As I walk through the door, I am greeted by the weirdest thing I've seen since I fell into the Underground. Which isn't exactly hard considering all I've seen down here was the froggit and Toriel, which, granted,  are pretty strange sights to a hunan. Up ahead was a flower with a face on it. This, on its own, was weird enough, but it just got weirder when the flower started to speak. "Howdy! I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower." The talking flower says, introducing himself. It takes every fiber of my being to keep from rolling my eyes. There is absolutely no way that's his real name.

"Oh, did Toriel not teach you how things work around here? Oh well, I guess little old me would have to do." He says as suddenly something changes in the atmosphere as it seems as if everything around us just went pitch black but I could still see the weird flower clearly. I look down and my eyes widen. A small floating yellow heart was simply floating right in front of my chest. "W-what the..." I gasp out as I stagger back a bit and the heart moves with me. It seems as though it connected to me as if by an invisible string. It also raised a bunch of questions but Flowey started talking again before I can muster my thoughts.

"That's your SOUL. The very culmination of your very being. It can get stronger with LV or LOVE.  What's LOVE? Well, I don't think you'll have to worry about that." Flowey says, which really just confuses me more than anything, but I doubt I'd actually get a straight answer out of him, so I decide to just leave it at that.

"Monsters will try to attack you. Try dodging these bullets. It will be good practice." He says as several white bullets appear, rotating rapidly and for just a moment, a headache flares up as a memory starts to float to the surface, but just out of reach. I was so distracted that I barely had any time to dodge the bullets that Flowey launched, quickly sidestepping to the left, my SOUL dragged along as i barely avoid the attack. "Oh my, feeling a bit sluggish, are we?" Flowey muses, noting my slow response time.

I shake my head clear of the headache. "Just a lot on my mind. Including the fact that a talking flower is right in front of me." I retort, causing Flowey to chuckle a bit. "Well, aren't you clever? In any case, if you wanna get outta here, you've gotta make your way to the castle. Of course, you've gotta be careful of Asgore. Now, no offense, I don't like your chances. So, I'm gonna help you, by SAVING so should anything bad happen to you, I can make it unhappen." Flower explains.

That threw me through a loop. As in, he can reverse time should something happen to me? It was so ridiculous, especuslly coming from a talking flower. While I couldn't put my finger on it, I could tell there was something more, that he wasn't telling me everything. In any case, he didn't seem as if he was being dishonest about this whole SAVING thing but it's not like I planned to let myself die so I hopefully shouldn't need to test it.

"If you see these, touch them and I'll pop out to SAVE your progress." He says before diving into the ground as a yellow floating star appears. Looking at it, there was something odd about it, something... Familiar. Of course, I would've remembered if I'd seen something like this before so I just chalked it up to stress. I place my hand on the star as it flashes before disappearing and Flowey popping out of the ground again. "Yep, just like that. And they're invisible to anyone else, so don't worry about that. They might just give you weird looks if you try to SAVE. Anyway, I don't think I got your name." Flowey mentions as I tell him. "It's Clover." I say, still wary of the flower as he nods. "Well, Clover, here's to a new friendship." He says, causing me to chuckle as he pops back into the ground, the star reappearing.

And so, after taking a deep breath and adjusting my hat, I delve into these dark ruins, unsure of what I would find but I knew that I had to keep going. I had to get out of here and find out what happened to the other 5 humans. Regardless of what everyone else said, regardless of how unlikely it was that they were alive, I needed to see it with my own eyes. It's time for this adventure to truly begin.
