'robert...' steven mumbled and pulled his arms even tighter around his friends body, carefully pressing his lips to the side of his neck as he gently squeezed robert's soft middle to pull him closer 'are you awake love?'

steven knew, probably better than most, how temperamental robert could be in the mornings. during past visits and the join hands tour he was subjected to his fair share of robert's hungover disposition, and as a result had sat through more than enough whinging about how tired, how sore, how ill he felt; but this past experience wasn't in vain. steven was carefully broaching the ground of treating robert, figuring out how to treat him, how to keep him in good condition, how to snap him out of his typical grump— and now with him sleepily curled up in steven's arms after a particularly debaucherous night out on the town, he was quite excited to test out his proposed methods.

steven continued to pepper kisses down the side of robert's neck and his shoulder until he finally stirred with a low grumble and sleepily hugged his limbs closer to his body, backing even further into his chest. robert pushed his hips back to stretch one of his legs out, only for steve's morning wood to prod him directly on his lower back. he made a vague noise of acknowledgement at the feeling and steve adjusted himself to let his hard on rest against robert's soft ass. steve went in to leave another kiss on robert's neck, and the guitarist cleared his throat to speak.

'feel fucking awful' he whined, his voice was raspy, and thick from sleep.

'oh you poor poor darling...' steven cooed with a vague sarcastic lilt, he nuzzled his face into the crook of robert's neck and shoulder then breathed damply against robert's pale flesh 'why don't you tell me what you need then?'

robert squirmed in his arms and sluggishly attempted to roll himself over, momentarily steven thought that it was to face him, but instead he rolled out away from steve to flop face down on the mattress in a childish huff. he pulled a pillow close to his face and shook his head, burrowing his face into it. steven inched over and tried to pull the duvet away to stroke his back, but that only prompted robert to sluggishly shoot his arms out and bundle the blankets around him even tighter. almost as though he was trying to cocoon himself.

'bloody cold' he huffed into the pillow, barely audible 'feels like i'm dying'

steven crawled closer to robert and threaded a gentle hand through his hair, crawling into robert's swaddle of warmth and he hoisted one leg over robert's waist, balancing on his hands and knees above him, subtly pressing his stiff crotch to robert's clothed backside as he leaned his face in from above to graze his lips against robert's ear.

'will i bring you some water robert...' he offered, keeping his voice low and coaxing.

'mmh..' robert shook his head and lifted his face from the pillow just a bit, revealing his remaining streaks of eyeliner from the night before 'any milk?'

steven smiled at his odd request and left a peck on the side of his face, making robert smile weakly before he planted his face straight back into his pillow. steven waited a moment, appreciating the loveliness of robert's warm skin against his own, then got off of robert, who at this moment clearly wasn't in the mood for much more than breakfast and some nice strong medicine. steven carefully slid from beneath the duvet and the heavy pile of blankets which were layered on top of it. now free from robert's warmth, he shivered at the chill in the room and stretched his shoulders out, already yearning to be back under the covers again. nonetheless he stood with a yawn and headed toward the door. he snatched his robe from the hook on the back and quickly shrugged it on, but before he could step out robert called out to him again.

'and turn on the heat while you're at it' he whined, muffled from all the layers of bedding he had buried himself under.

'of course robert-' he replied, in a sarcastic obedient tone 'you bloody diva'
