Dinosaurs?!

It had been two days since the mysterious floating alien ship had appeared in the sky. Leonardo and his brothers and friends had been patrolling the city nearly nonstop since it arrived. They had found a small piece off of one of the aliens armour, and a dead piece of tech (which Donatello was currently locked up in his lab studying), but never an alien. Michelangelo and Casey Jones had been blabbering on about what the aliens could be, 'Ooh ooh! Maybe they're dinosaurs! Wouldn't that be so cool Casey?' Mikey had chirped. 'Why would the be dinosaurs? They're all dead, man. I think they're little grey men with big heads and black eyes.' Casey retorted smugly. Raphael was restless, he didn't care what the aliens were, he just wanted to fight them off of his planet. He wanted a fight, but it had all been so silent. Leonardo and April O'Neil were the only ones who were really taking the patrols seriously. April was training her faint psychic abilities to sense if any aliens were nearby, which there never were. She could sense humans and animals, but no aliens. Leonardo hid on a rooftop, checking the streets and sky for signs of aliens.

"Maybe we should call Donnie and see how he's doing with that alien tech, nothings happening up here!" Raph announced, clearly just wanting some news other than a cat knocking over a garbage can.
"I mean, it couldn't hurt to see what he's up to, right Leo?" April replied. Leo nodded reluctantly and Raph pulled out his T-Phone. Soon enough, their purple brother was on the other line.

"Hey Raph, what's up? Find anything?" Donnie's voice could be heard from the phone.
"Nope, we called to see what you found. It's more interesting than here, believe it or not." Raph grumbled.
"Oh! Well it seems to be a dead teleportation device, used to molecularly dissolve and transport the aliens from their vessel to-"
"English Donnie." Mikey and Casey stared with confused glances.
*sigh* "It is a teleporter, it makes thing go from one place to another instantly." Donnie explained condescendingly. Mikey and Casey both nodded contented and gave a thumbs up.
"Well, I'm all done with this device for now. If you guys can send the coordinates, I'll be there in-"

*CRASH*

Raph quickly hung up the phone before his brother could finish his sentence. They peered into a nearby alleyway- well everyone but Casey and Mikey. They were practicing skateboard tricks while arguing about aliens. They saw a huge triceratops-like biped with- with some kind of screen and some teleporters in its belt. Its scales were an orangey-yellow colour with some darker scales, and a scar across its right forearm. Another alien beamed down next to it; taller, bigger, a scar over its right eye and a metal beak. It growled something to its companion, who gave a hand sign (salute?), and hurried off. Just as the alien dinosaur was going to leave, Mikey fell off his skateboard in the middle of a trick, and landed hard on his shell. Casey laughed loudly. The dinosaurs head snapped up, and saw the two turtles and human on the roof. With a powerful leap, it shook the building they were on, cracking its cement roof.

"Uh guys, I think we should run!" Leo cried.
"No way! I'm gonna fight this Dino till its horns fall off!" Raph chuckled gleefully. He ran up to the alien, sais ready for the attack, just as he's about to strike, the dinosaur punches him in the stomach, sending him flying. He almost falls off the roof, clearly very injured.
"Mikey! This is your fault!" Raph coughed. Blood ran down his face. The alien was clearly too strong for them.
"It wasn't! I just messed up, plus, Casey was distracting me!" Mikey whined. He could be annoying sometimes- maybe more than sometimes- but he was still their little brother.
"Whatever, we need to get Raph back to the lair." Leo called impatiently. Casey and Leo helped get Raph back to the lair, each holding one of his arms around their shoulders. The three turtles and two humans kept off the roof, and into the night.

—————

All kinds of thoughts were racing through Michelangelo's head. First of all, he was right about the aliens being dinosaurs. Ha! Take that, Casey Jones! But more importantly, Raph got hurt bad. Because of him. He didn't mean too! He made a mistake! Everybody makes mistakes, right? Donnie's inventions hurt them all the time, and everyone forgives him! But why not Mikey? Why does no one ever tell him that it's ok? Why is everything always his fault? He knows his brothers love him. He knows they care. They do care, right? They have to-

"Michelangelo." The stern voice of Master Splinter cut his thoughts short. Mikey flinched. He knew what was going to happen next. "You made a foolish decision that nearly got Raphael killed."
"But sensei, it it was an acci-"
"Silence!" He snapped. "If you cannot take patrols seriously, then tomorrow night you will run a patrol. Alone. You mustn't bring your brothers. They are to stay here."
"But sensei-" Leo started
"Silence, Leonardo." Splinter stomped his cane. "You know this is for the best."
"No it's not, sensei! It's too dangerous out there. We don't want Mikey hurt! Especially if no one's there to help him!"
"It's fine guys, really. I-I'll be okay-"
"I must go meditate. Do not speak to me until morning. And Donatello, Leonardo, make sure Michelangelo leaves alone for patrol." Splinter shut the door to the dojo behind him. Leaving the four turtles alone.

Raph was trying to tend to his own wounds. He was the medic of the team, so no one else really knew how as well as him. Leo sat down on the couch to watch Space Heroes. The others all thought it was stupid, like, they're just in space it's not that cool. Leo loved it though. Donnie awkwardly slipped back into his lab, shutting the door behind him. Mikey decided to go to bed. It should be better in the morning. It usually is.
