Age: 8

You were in the orphanage, trying to play with some of the other kids there, though the other kids didn't like you very much. Because of that, you would always grab a few picture books and try to replicate the pictures while sitting in the corner. You heard the door of the orphanage open, but you ignored it because you knew the adult wouldn't pick you.

Or so you thought.

You heard the lady at the front desk call your name, so you dropped your coloring utensils and went over to her. Upon reaching the front desk, you saw a lanky man with blonde hair and blue eyes with an eerie smile across his face. You felt a bit uneasy and hid behind the front desk lady.

"Oh, she's quite the shy one, isn't she?" The man said, squatting down to your level. "My name is Daniel. I hope I can be a great father to you." He held out a hand for you to shake.

You hesitated before shaking his hand, slowly walking out from behind the front desk lady. The front desk lady tapped you on the shoulder so you could face her.

"Your new father has to fill out some paperwork so he can legally call himself your father." She explained. "While he does that, why don't you pack your stuff?"

You smiled and nodded before running to where the rooms were, beginning to pack your stuff. You practically had no time to pack anything when you were sent to the orphanage, so the only things you had were a dark F/C colored sweater and a stuffed, black bear. You threw those into your bag and ran back out of the rooms, where you saw Daniel standing near the front doors of the orphanage.

"Ready to go, kiddo?" You nodded excitedly, finally getting to experience what it was like to have a parent. You waved goodbye to the front desk lady and went out with Daniel to his car. You hopped into the backseat as he got in the driver's seat and started the car. As he got onto the highway, you decided to ask something.

"Daniel....?" you said quietly. "You're not gonna hurt me, right? You're actually gonna be a good parent towards me, right...?"

Daniel grinned before replying. "Of course I am. What reason do I have to hurt you?"

You didn't say anything and kept looking out the window, pretending that your car and someone else's were racing, not noticing the sinister look on Daniel's face.

You both arrived at Daniel's abode. You grabbed your bag and hopped out of the car, following Daniel inside his house. You were amazed to see a rather nice house, your eyes gleaming with anticipation. You took off your shoes and dropped your bag beside them before running around the house, exploring every inch of this amazing household. After a while, Daniel found you snooping around the guest room and chuckled.

"You're having a fun time now, aren't you?" Daniel asked, placing his hand on your shoulder.

"Yes, I am!" You replied happily, a big smile on your face. "Your house is so much bigger and nicer than the orphanage! Are you a billionaire!?"

Daniel laughed. "No, I'm not a billionaire." He replied. "But I can show you something that's out in the backyard that's cooler than the house if you'd like?"

You slowly turned to look at him, the widest smile on your face. "Show me show me show me show me!" You exclaimed, bouncing up and down. You were so excited to see what else this man had, considering how rich he was.

"Okay, okay, settle down, little one." Daniel said, leading you out into the backyard. You both were out in his backyard, and the only thing that caught your eye was a little shack, but it was made of metal and wood.

"Daniel?" He looked down at you. "What is that?" You asked, pointing at the metal shack.

"This is the purification sauna." Daniel replied. "It cleanses you of all your sins and gets rid of any negative emotions!"
