**Omega has been with the Batch for a few months now**

The Bad Batch had just returned from another one of Cid's missions. The scaled businesswoman had claimed that the mission would be "straightforward and effortless." It was safe to say that it was everything but what she said.

The Batchers practically limped into Cid's parlor which was busier than usual. Heading toward the back office, they bumped into an irritated Trandoshian man.

"Watch where you're going," He said as he looked them all over, "Clones." He spat.

Wrecker, who ordinarily would have cracked his knuckles and taught the guy a lesson, simply rolled his eyes. He was just too exhausted to start a fight this late.

The Batch entered Cid's office where they were greeted by their boss's kind words, "What took you so long?" She came around her desk to confront them, "I've been waiting for you bucket heads to bring me the shipment all day! Do you know how impatient the Pykes are?"

"Given the fact that you gave us only the coordinates for the shipment extraction and left out critical details, I'd say that we completed our objective successfully."

His brothers all nodded their heads in agreement.

Omega piped up, "How were we supposed to know that several bounty hunters were guarding the shipment?"

"Aren't you trained for these situations?" She questioned them eyeing Tech.

"We are trained in military tactics not smuggler runs!" Hunter ardently said.

"Yeah!" Wrecker chimed in.

"We're soldiers, not bounty hunters!" Echo stated.

"Woah, woah, woah." Cid held her palms out, "Before you all continue to gang up on me, need I remind you fellas that these arrangements are mutually beneficial?"

"But-" Tech was cut off by Cid's words.

"And if it weren't for me, you boys would probably be jobless. You know? Without any money?"

"She does have a point." Omega regretfully admitted to her brothers.

"See?" Cid pointed her talons towards the little girl, "Tiny understands! Besides, I was planning on giving you guys a forty percent cut this time."

"That is barely above our usual share." Tech declared as he looked up from his datapad.

"Fine. I'll make it forty-five."

The Batch was unfazed by her "generous" offer.

"Alright. I see how it is." She walked back to her desk and divided the credits into two different portions, "Here it is- I'll give you boys 60 percent of the credits." Omega gasped.

"That is what we should be getting on average." Insisted Tech, who was adjusting his goggles.

"Take it or leave it!" Cid expressed, annoyed.

Hunter grabbed their share and signaled for the rest of the Batch to follow him. They headed back through the musty parlor and bought themselves drinks, which were well deserved.

"Hunter," Tech said to his Sargeant, "I have a few minor ship repairs I'd like to get started on. I'll be heading over to the Maruader unless you require my assistance."

"Alright then. But, Tech, do you mind taking the kid with you? She looks like she's about to pass out."

Tech nodded. Hunter called Omega over, "Hey Kid," He placed his hand on her shoulder, "It's time for you to get to bed. You've had a long day."

"But I'm not tired," Omega argued with very little enthusiasm while rubbing her sleepy eyes.

"I'm sure you'll feel tired once you lay down, Kid," Hunter picked her up into his steady arms, "Goodnight Omega." He passed the weary little girl over to Tech, who was a bit surprised by the gesture. Tech, however, adjusted his arms so that his armor would not disturb Omega.

Tech exited Cid's parlor and navigated his way back to the Marauder without any trouble. When he reached the omicron ship, he softly placed Omega down on her makeshift bed. Omega, quietly groaned when she was detached from Tech's warm embrace, but was unbothered a second later.

Tech sighed with relief. He removed his helmet and placed it atop his bunk, then grabbed his toolbox. A loose spanner dropped from the box when he lifted it up, making a loud clank. Tech turned around him, hoping that the noise did not awaken Omega from her slumber. Thankfully, Omega only changed her position and was still once again.

Tech got to work with the ship repairs as quietly as possible. After fixing the Marauder's damaged star navigator, he took a seat on the pilot's chair. After scrolling on his datapad for almost an hour, Tech finally drifted off to a deep sleep.

Omega was awakened by the conversations of a loud and most likely drunk group of misfits. They passed by harmlessly, but Omega found herself having trouble falling back to sleep. Eventually, she pulled her blanket around her slender shoulders and waddled over to Tech's bunk, only to find it vacant.

She made her way to the cockpit and spotted Tech, sound asleep, in the pilot's seat. Without hesitation, Omega carefully climbed onto his chest so as not to disturb him. First, she delicately removed Tech's goggles, which she thought must be uncomfortable for him, and placed them on the edge of the chair. Then, she wrapped her blanket around the two of them, laid her head against his chest, and fell asleep almost instantly.
