The Justice League

Episode 1

How I'd want the first episode of my cartoon Justice League to go.

Barry's lab at the CCPD. Barry is working on a computer, Hal is staring at him.

Hal: Hey Barry?

Barry: Yeah?

Hal: What's your favorite type of ice cream?

Barry: *glances at Hal and raises an eyebrow* You really are bored, aren't you? This is why you shouldn't bother me at work.

Hal: I can't just not bother you, Bear. You're my best friend! *dramatically leans forward onto the back of his chair*

Barry: *sighs, then flops back and turns to Hal* Why are you here, anyway?

Hal: *feigns surprise and hurt* Why Barry, I'm shocked!

Barry: *rolls eyes but smiles* You have to admit, though, you usually only come by if you need something.

Hal: I was just bored and in the neighborhood, that's all.

Barry: *raises eyebrows*

Hal: What?

Barry: *says nothing but continues to stare*

Hal: Okay, fine. Carol kicked me out after her dad fired me. Can I live with you for a while?

Barry: Oh, Hal. I'm so sorry.

Hal: *does puppy eyes* Please? I'll help protect the city!

Barry: *sighs* Okay, fine.

Hal: Yes!

Barry: But just for a few days!

Blast of light and screams of terror outside the window. Barry and Hal jump to their feet.

Barry: Let's start on the patrol work now, shall we?

Hal: Sounds good.

Hal and Barry run out of the police station, putting suits on on the way. Stop in tracks when see cause of blast and screams.

Green Lantern and Flash exchange knowing looks, GL takes to sky and Flash runs straight for camera.

Theme plays.

GL and Flash outside, standing in front of frozen fountain. No sign of cause of freeze, but they know the cause already.

Flash: Cold! What do you think you're doing?

Cold: I /think/ I'm attacking the police station, *appears out of bushes holding blonde woman hostage* but I could be wrong.

Flash: Put her down. This isn't like you. Can we at least talk about this? Is it revenge or something?

Cold: *laughs* Oh this goes far beyond you and me, Flash. I'm actually surprised you had the sense to bring your little friend here. I didn't think you knew about my partner...

Sinestro flys up from around building and lands next to Cold. GL's ring flares and he glares at new guy.

Sinestro: Hello, "Green Lantern." Is it alright if I humor you by calling you that? I know how you enjoy it.

GL: Shut up and let me beat you into submission.

Sinestro: *laughs* As if you could even get close enough to try. No, sorry old friend. Captain Cold and I are just here to grab a few things. Put the girl down, Snart.

Cold: *releases hostage and she runs away, Cold says nothing but holds his gun up, aimed at Flash*

Cold: Don't move. *smirks*
