Error and Pixel were scavenging behind some clothing and sewing stores for spare supplies. They had found a couple of old outfits, some usable fabrics, and a couple random buttons. As they were walking back, Error pulled Pixel into a alleyway. "Wha-" started Pixel, but Error cut her off by putting his hand over her mouth. They peaked out, and you could see a skeleton in bright clothes walking down the streets.
The shades tipped Pixel off to who it was. It was Error's brother Fresh. Now, she understood why he pulled her into the alleyway. It would be hard to explain to your brother, who you haven't seen for several years and most likely believes, you dead why you're alive and have cat ears and a tail. They waited for Fresh to pass before continuing their walk back.
"What took you to so long?" Asked Nightmare. "We had a close run in with Fresh." Said Error. Nightmare nodded in understanding. They put away the supplies and ate dinner. As Error lied in his hammock, he thought of his mother, Geno, and Fresh. 'Would they even remember me now?' He thought. He shook the thought away and drifted off to a sleep filled with glimpses of his past.
(Italics is a dream) Error was in the house he had lived all those years ago. He walked through and into the living room. He saw transparent versions of him and his brothers playing a video game together. He walked by and by the door, he saw a transparent version of when he pushed Fresh down the stairs. Guilt filled him as he watched. He continued walking throughout the house, memories playing as he walked by. He saw when he overheard Aunt Com and his mother's conversation, he saw as he wrote the note, and saw as his past self ran into the night, not knowing what awaited.
He was in the labs again. Here, bad memories played. The experiments, the pain, the cruelty. He wanted to scream as he he watched and remembered. He felt something shaking and heard a voice say, "Error! Error! Wake up!"
Error snapped awake to Dream shaking him softly. "Error, are you okay? You were crying and mumbling in your sleep." Said Dream. "I'm fine Dream, it was just a nightmare." Said Error. Dream gave him a doubtful look, but let it slide as they walked to get breakfast.
