*the next day you hear a knock at the door and your in a panic*

You: Come in!

*you are running around the room when eddie walks in*

You: im so sorry i ment to call you but i wont be able to go today.

Eddie: whats going on?

You: My ex is coming and has made it clear that chris is going with him so i told buck to take him to athena's house.

Eddie: What time is he supposed to be here?

You: anytime, he called a couple of hours ago when he landed at the airport.

Eddie: okay well then ill stay here with you.

You: Eddie i cant let you do that. he's not a nice man and i dont want you hurt.

Eddie: I fought in a war, i think i can handle him.

You: Eddie..

Eddie: im no leaving you alone with this guy y/n, word has gotten around the station about him and i dont trust him.

You: alright, i can see i wont win this.

*a few minutes later theres another knock at the door and you take a deep breath before answering*

Ex: where is he?

*he walks right past you*

You: hes with mom and dad they are going to the zoo.

Ex: great, why te hell didnt you tell them no.

You: because i wasnt going to let you ruin his life by taking him.

Ex: you stupid...

Eddie: you dont wanna finish that pal.

Eddie: Eddie Diaz, im a friend of y/ns. i assume your the dirtbag ex husband.

Eddie: yeah it does, you see Chris is part of the 118 family so anything that has to do with him involves all of us.

*the door opens and everyone walks in including chris*

Ex: chris come on your coming with me.

Chris: no..i wanna stay here.

Ex: you dont have a choice bud, now get your stuff and lets go.

Chris: No! you said you didnt want me anymore and hit mommy when she told you about the baby..your a bad man.

Chris: I wanna stay with Eddie!

Evan: actually he does, we've been in contact with a lawyer and our local police department.

Athena: because of your confirmed abuse charges and felon charges he has the legal right to tell you what parent he wants to be with.

Chris: I want to stay with mommy and Eddie.

Chris: im staying with mommy.

You: chris why dont you take uncle buck and the tem to go see your room, okay?

*he walks away with the team following close behind him*

Ex: you've made him hate me!

*you tear up*

You: get out.

*he steps closer to you*

*he lifts his hand to hit you when he get tackled*

Evan: Eddie!

*evan moves you back from the fight well everyone else breaks up the fight*

Bobby: Eddie hey! I get it kid i do but not here..not in front of them.

Eddie: you ever try and lay a hand on her again and i wont stop till i end you.

Bobby: get out of here or ill let him finish you off now.

*your ex walks out slamming the door and you finally start crying*

Chris: mommy its okay, hes gone now.

*you wipe your face and put on a fake smile*

You: i know baby,hey go pack an overnight bag okay. Uncle chim and aunt maggie want you to sty the night with them.

Chim: come on bud ill help you pack.

*they walk to chris's room and you look at eddie*

You: are you okay?

Eddie: ive had worse. im sorry for starting a brawl but i wasnt going to let him hurt you.

You: i understand and thank you. but right now i need to figure out where to stay for the night. as soon as he knows im alon hes gonna come back.

Eddie: pack a bag, you can stay with me.
