PROLOGUE

I never thought I'd end up like this.

I am starting over in a new city, trying to put the past behind me.

Sitting in my new apartment, staring at the skyline outside.

It was a painful and humbling experience I wouldn't wish on anyone.

But that's in the past now.

I'm ready to start over, to rebuild my life from scratch. And that's why I took this job at the law firm.

It's prestigious, challenging, and a chance to prove myself.

It's a dream come true, really.

This is my chance to make something of myself, to leave the past behind and start fresh.

And then I met him.

Linus Kline.

My new boss.

He's tall and broad-shouldered, with piercing blue eyes and a chiseled jawline that could cut glass. His hair is a deep shade of brown, styled perfectly, giving him an air of sophistication.

I can't help but wonder what it would be like to run my hands over his body.

I can't deny the attraction that I feel towards him. It's like a magnetic pull, drawing me closer to him with every passing moment.

But I must be careful.

I don't want to make the same mistake again. I need to focus on my job and build a new life.
