I take a deep breath as I stand in front of the vertical mirror.

I'm dressed in a silky mermaid gown, and Linus's mom, Amelia, is helping me put on the veil. I can feel the nerves building up inside me, and I try to keep them at bay so I don't cry and smudge my makeup.

Amelia is an angel.

I get along with her so well, and she treats me like I'm her daughter.

For once in my life, I feel like I have a real mom.

"You are absolutely gorgeous, honey. I'm so proud of my son for finally getting a woman like you by his side. I'm sure you two are going places." Amelia smiles as she puts a pin in my hair, trying to secure the veil to my wavy, loose black locks.

Camilla, Linus' stepsister, walks in, placing herself before me. "Oh, my lord, Eve. You look gorgeous. It looks like the dress was made for you."

"It was really made for her," Amelia adds with a smile.

I start laughing, trying to hold back my tears, and say, "Thank you."

"Linus is already more than ready to get you down the aisle!" Camilla says excitedly.

My nerves start building up again.

I take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.

Camilla and I got along amazingly after we met, and she's my maid of honor.

I finally leave the room.

Let's get married.

Linus's stepfather takes me down the aisle, as I don't have my dad to do it.

No.

I refuse to let these intrusive thoughts ruin the happiest day of my life.

I take his arm and take a deep breath, seeing Linus at the end of the aisle waiting for me.

When I finally get to him, he looks me up and down and says, "Ms. Langton, you look gorgeous."

I giggle and reply, "You don't look so bad yourself, Mr. Kline."

He chuckles, takes my hand, plants a kiss on the back, and says, "Are you ready to become Mrs. Kline, Eve?"

I smile and reply, "I was never more ready for anything."

ª

We sit outside alone while the guests drink and eat at the wedding party.

It's nice to have a moment of quiet with Linus.

"I can't believe we did this," I say, a broad smile on my face. "I never thought I'd be the type to have a fairy tale wedding."

Linus chuckles, "And here you were saying that you hated me, remember Mrs. Kline?" he cocks an eyebrow.

I shake my head and laugh, "I did... for a second there, I did."

"I would too... but I knew you wouldn't be able to resist my charm eventually," he jokes.

I roll my eyes and hit his arm playfully, "You wish."

We sit in silence for a moment.

Enjoying the evening air.

Linus breaks the silence, "You know, I never believed in soulmates until I met you."

I turn my head to look at him, "Really?"

Linus nods, "I think I found mine in you, Eve."

"I love you, Linus," I say, taking his hand in mine.

"I love you too, Eve," he replies, squeezing my hand gently.

I look around at the remaining guests at the party, most of them drunk and dancing to the DJ's tunes. Linus and I have already said our goodbyes to those closest to us.

"Ready to go?" Linus asks me, holding out his hand.

I take it and smile up at him. "Definitely."

We make our way through the crowd, dodging dancing bodies and people stumbling around with drinks in their hands.

I feel Linus's arm around my waist, holding me close to him as we move together.

We make our way down the hall, hand in hand.

Finally, we step into the elevator to the hotel rooms alone.

I press the button for our floor and turn to Linus.

He is looking at me with a wicked smile.

"Alone at last, Mrs. Kline," he says, pulling me close and pressing his lips to mine.

I kiss him back, feeling a shiver as his hands roam over my body. The elevator doors open, and we break apart reluctantly, giggling like teenagers as we make our way to our honeymoon suite.

The room is decorated beautifully, with rose petals scattered over the bed and candles flickering in the corner. I turn to Linus, feeling my heart race as he closes the door behind us.

"This is amazing," I say, taking in the romantic scene before me.

He grins at me, pulling me into his arms. "I wanted it to be perfect for you," he murmurs, kissing me again.

I melt into his kiss, feeling his hands slide down to the small of my back.

My body responds to his touch, and I deepen the kiss, hungering for more.

Linus's hands move to the zipper at the back of my dress, and he starts to unzip it slowly. As the dress falls to the floor, I stand before him in lacy lingerie.

"God, you're beautiful," he says, touching my curves.

I feel myself growing wet as he trails kisses down my neck and across my collarbone.

He reaches around to unclasp my bra.

It falls away, leaving me completely exposed to him.

He lifts me, carries me to the bed, and lays me down gently. I watch as he undresses, my eyes devouring his chiseled chest and toned abs.

He climbs onto the bed beside me, his hand trailing down my body as he kisses me.

Our bodies press together.

The heat between us intensifies with each passing moment.

As he enters me, I moan softly, my body responding to his every touch. We move together in perfect rhythm.

"I love you, Mrs. Kline," he whispers in my ear.

"I love you too, Mr. Kline," I reply.

At that moment, nothing else exists except for the two of us, lost in our passion and love for each other.

And I know, without a doubt.

I made the right choice in marrying Linus Kline.
