After a week, Minji hadn't seen Jake at all. She didn't mind; after all, it was only for business. Today, however, she would see him again—on their wedding day.

She hadn't even had time to find a bridesmaid for herself, since the wedding had been so last-minute. It was going to be a quick, simple ceremony with only a few close friends—and, of course, the media to document their special day.

The media. The most crucial part.

This is the turning point, the moment their "fake" marriage goes public to the world.

They say weddings should be thrilling and emotional. But here she is, feeling nothing but regret.

Regret for choosing Jake.

She could've chosen Heeseung—even though he'd refused flatly. At least he'd treated her well. Maybe he would've changed his mind and accepted the marriage.

No. Not now, Minji.

The decision is made.

"Don't even think about it, Minji. You're almost done." She looked at herself in the mirror, adjusting a few strands of hair that the stylist had fussed over.

Her wedding gown was stunning. It was a shame she had to wear it and not enjoy it. A shame to flaunt the dress in front of a man who didn't even like it.

Knock, knock.

Minji turned toward the sound of the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's me. Arin."

"Come in."

Arin entered with a smile as soon as she saw Minji in the gown. "Ms. Minji, you look beautiful."

Minji gave a dry scoff. "So I've been ugly all this time?" she muttered sarcastically, still eyeing her reflection. She did look beautiful. The gown added a graceful, elegant charm.

Arin rolled her eyes before stepping closer and handing her an iPad. A news article was displayed.

Minji raised her eyebrows and took it from Arin, slightly nervous.

"The stock rose significantly after the marriage announcement, Ms. Minji. Congratulations," Arin said, watching her expression.

Finally, some good news.

Minji stared at the article, a small, satisfied smile forming on her lips. She hadn't realized just how powerful the alliance between the families could be. Amazing how a simple wedding announcement could influence stock prices.

"Great. At least now I know this marriage wasn't completely wasted."

Arin nodded and added, "By the way, your future husband is here."

Minji froze, eyes flicking to the mirror. "What is he doing here?"

"He said he wanted to see you."

"We're going to see each other soon anyway."
