" I hate that man with everything I've ever wanted, grandfather." Semion slumped into one of the sofas. Alexei was seated, smoking his cigar like old times. He cast her glance, each day, she was becoming just like her mother. The resemblance was a burning heartbreak.
He sighed and crashed the cigar against a tray with a glass of whiskey.
" He's hurt my child, you can't blame him. Pain makes it hard for everything." He downed his drink.
Semion rolled her eyes, " Same old shit."
" Language, missy."
" I'm sorry." She was quick to apologize.
It was a good trait. If she was wrong she'd apologize without pride." You're the only person who truly loves me." She sighed.
Alexei smiled sadly, " Moara, Kei and Aslan love you more."
" My mum and aunt are dead, the only person I've tried all my life to please, to be loved by doesn't even need my existence."
"Anything new happening?" He asked.
" Handled a few assholes, and then I came back to the news of my engagement. What a pleasant day." She ended sarcastically.
" Congratulations by the way." He laughed. Semion scoffed, " tease."
" You can just kill him after the wedding." He suggested, shrugging nonchalantly like it wasn't any hard thing. To them murder was like a piece of cake, their cold hearts could handle everything.
" He threatened to sell me off, if I killled him." She folded her arms.
Alexei hummed, he knew Aslan would do that. After Moara's death, Alexei and Aslan's relationship was shaken to the very core. They no longer had talks, just business related stuff. He handled most things whilst.he grieved terribly. He had chased Antonio over the years but at the end of every search he managed to slip through his fingers.
" Oh Aslan." He sighed, his fatherly instincts surfaced. It was very hard seeing him turn so cruel.
He couldn't blame him. The very first woman he fell madly in love with slipped away right in front of him. He had been kept away from human contact for so many years and just when everything was getting better.
Moara passed away.
He took a deep breath.
" He loved her so much." He smiled sadly.
" It's been years, he should just let it go. " Semion knew of the history where her own grandfather killed his daughter whilst aiming for her father.
It was indeed painful. Tragic.
" Easy for you to say, Semion, your father loved her first, she was his everything." He defended.
" And I get to pay for that crime?" Semion questioned.
She swallowed her tears and walked out.
When she got outside, she finally breathed in. It was too much to bear.
She jumped into her red Bugatti and sped off.
She gripped the steering wheel so hard it threatened to break. All the pain of growing up without a father hitting her all at once. Every other year, whilst growing up, she saw him once, and if she was lucky it was twice a year. It was as if he never existed.
" Ahhh!!" She punched the steering wheel repeatedly as she screamed.
Hot tears slid down her cheeks.
" I hate you!, I fucking hate you so much!" Her eyes zoned in on the woman crossing the road. Her eyes widened, She stepped on the breaks, coming to a screeching halt.
She breathed heavily.
The thought of almost running over the woman slapped her in face.
" Holy fuck," she stepped out.
" Watch where you're going, I could have killed you!", She kissed her teeth and got back into her car before speeding off.
She needed something strong and that was when she took a turn, heading to her favorite club.
The place was almost full,.when she got there. The music was louder than her thoughts, exactly what she needed.
She danced, drank so much, and just enjoyed the night. It was a routine when things weren't going her way, when he pissed her off. And it happened quite often.
She drove home, heavily intoxicated.
She rolled out of the driver's seat, landing on all fours..she laughed and stumbled to her feet.
She did the drunk catwalk into their mansion. She turned the lights on and took off her boots.
As she stumbled towards her room, a voice called,
" Semion," the authority behind the voice had already given out the owner.
She turned around. A sarcastic smile gracing her face.
" Hello, asshole." She slurred, suturing forward.
" You fucking dimwit!" She jabbed a finger on his chest. The height difference very prominent.
" You never loved me!" She sniffled.
" You never, y-you fucking, I -I ,"
" I wonder how you can stand yourself, Semion. No wonder, you're," he clenched his.jaw, glaring into her glistening eyes.
" It's almost 2am, and look how wasted you are,"
" The apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it ?" she scoffed.
Aslan clenched his jaw, his hands balled to fists, " Oh sure it doesn't, Semion."
" You know something,"
She closed the gap between them, " I still wonder why my mother chose a man as vile as you, such an animal, an untameable beast. Maybe it was your dick game, because I can't think of a valid reason why she'd willingly be with someone like you," she paused, a glint in her eyes as she saw the pain in his own damn eyes.
" A man who sells his own fucking blood for the drugs and money. "
" My mother deserved someone better than you!"
" Semion!" He boomed, rage filling him. His eyes red and veins throbbing.
" Touché, did I hurt you with my words?" She questioned pretentiously.
" Sorry, father." She teased.
" I just want to close my eyes and not see this face right now, so if you'd," she giggled as she stumbled whilst turning.
" Excuse me, asshole."
Aslan stood there speechless.
