Stretching her arms over her head, Tasha groaned as she woke up to the sound of her alarm. Cracking open her arms, she tried to remember everything from the day before and it came back to her in a flash. The plane ride, meeting the Walters, trying to unpack and just feeling her whole battery drain.
Katherine had visited her in the attic last night once she got back from the veterinary clinic and they'd had a nice chat. The Walter matriarch had apologised profusely for her being put in the attic but Tasha had assured her it was ok. And then when dinner time came, the seventeen year old decided to stay in her room. Even if it was a little rude, she didn't want to be around people all that much and it didn't surprise her that her sister had elected to do the same.
Tasha wasn't sure when she fell asleep but she felt absolutely knackered, like when you sleep so long that you actually wake up feeling even more tired than before. The idea of starting a new school was practically torture but the teenager knew there was no choice.
Rolling out of bed and stretching her limbs was nice, hearing all the cracks and pops was like her own ASMR. Tash was glad she'd laid out her outfit the night before, having already done all her overthinking. She brushed out her hair and put on a white long sleeve shirt (that went to her neck) paired with some jeans, throwing her leather jacket over it all and using some sunnies to put the hair away from her face.
Once she was satisfied, she climbed down the ladder with all her stuff for the day, pushing the stairs up behind her. Luckily there was no one in the bathroom so she freshened up before heading down the stairs. Already she could hear the noise.
"Lee, I hear that skateboard. That's gonna stay home." The boy whined loudly but Katherine was having none of it, "if you ride it in school again you're gonna get a suspension."
"But aunt Katherine –"
"No! No more buts, there are no more buts to be had."
Tasha's lips twitched at the elder woman's reply and made her way down the stairs, hanging her bag on the bannister. The family were stood around the kitchen island whilst they all ate breakfast and debated miscellaneous topics.
Katherine sighed as Jordan told her Rumple was missing again but wasn't focused on him too long as she spotted Tasha at the entrance. She smiled and went over, sating good morning and wrapped an arm around her. "Do you want some breakfast, sweetheart?"
Cole didn't even glance at her as he shouted, "bus leaves in five minutes!"
That seemed to spur everyone into chaos as they started grabbing bags and packed lunched.
Katherine smiled apologetically, "I'm so sorry, sweetie. Do you mind if I–" she gestured to her kids and Tasha chuckled a bit.
"Don't worry about me, I can sort something out."
