Maybe it was the horrible strong smell of everybody's morning coffee, but his head hurt and his stomach whirled. He hated this time of the morning, when everyone was awake and ready to go. They were all heading out the door, eating breakfast, or talking. It was so loud and always overstimulated him. He wanted to run back up to his room, but he was starving for once in his life. Maybe cause he hadn't eaten the past 3 days.
He quickly took a small plate, careful to limit himself, before running back up to his room.
He sat down in his bed, feeling relieved as he grabbed a bottle of water out of his mini-fridge. He turned on a random comedy show and began to eat, slowly and extremely unsure if he should. But he didn't even think about it and finished off the whole plate. He felt extremely guilty about it and sighed as he laid it outside of his door.
He blankly stared as he watched the show, his thoughts carrying him away to another planet.
He remembered when he was a child that his parents would always shame him for eating too much. Actually, they shamed him for everything they could think of.
"why haven't you eaten darling?" "You're eating too much! Save some for us!"
"Your hair is so oily and unkempt." "Your hair is so dry! Why don't you let it ever get oily?"
"You overdo the makeup." "You need more makeup!"
"Your clothes are too revealing!" "Why are you so under dressed?"
"If you wear that you're gonna get dress-coded." "Cover your shoulders!"
He sunk deeper into his blankets.
Ugh, his childhood SUCKED! He wished he could've had a normal one, like everyone else.
One where his parents didn't fight, when he could eat on a regular basis. One where he didn't have to travel across the country just to see the other parent, or later in life, to a different country.
That would be a good life. He wasn't asking for much. Just to be happy and in a healthy relationship with his parents. That sounded perfect.
He checked the time and realized immediately how late it was. 13:45.
He walked down the stairs, relieved to see that it had cleared out much more from that morning. Now relaxed, he walked over to grab a styrofoam cup and fill it with water. He pulled it away from the faucet and sat down on a recliner to watch Pickle and Knife play their games. They smiled and messed around while playing, until the round was over and they stood up to go get a snack. He stared at the tv for a long while, thinking.
He eventually stood up and went back to his room, flopping down on his bed.
Watching them play just made him feel even lonelier, so that sucked for him.
Maybe I could hang out with someone! Yeah, that'll work. He thought excitedly. He smiled as the idea came to mind. He hopped out of bed and got more properly dressed, walking out of his room proudly. He looked around and spotted his golden ticket.
Trophy.
He was unsure about it, but maybe he could get closer to him, help him to soften up? He took a deep breath in and strided over bravely.
"Hey Troph!" He grinned widely as he looked up at the taller male. "What do you want?" He growled. "You wanna- uhhh- hang out for a little?" He tilted his head, making puppy eyes. The dirty blond rolled his eyes, sighing. "Fine. What do you even want to do?" He crossed his arms. Cheesy smiled excitedly. "Hmm..You wanna go to the pond?" He asked, looking up at Trophy. "Sure, why not." Trophy felt a smile tug at his lips as he followed the short boy to the door, fiddling with the camera he just put back around his neck.

The two males arrived at the pond, the gray sky reflecting against the pond and moss growing on the damp wood. Cheesy still had a wide grin as he sat down at the end of the dock, inviting Trophy to sit next to him. He was busy holding his camera and taking pictures though, enjoying the atmosphere of the crisp fall air. The strawberry blond bounced up, looking at the photos as he printed them. "Ooo!" Cheesy took the photo and shook it gently before giving it back to Trophy, feeling sprinkles of chilly rain fall on his curly hair.
He looked up, seeing the water fall from the heavy gray clouds. "Yess! I love the rain!" He giggled, jumping around on the slippery dock. "Yuck, I don't." Trophy grumbled.
He pulled his lettermans jacket tighter against him, walking back towards the hotel with Cheesy following close beside him.
