Title based off of my fav song, Worm Food by Cavetown!! (been in the Cavetown phase for three years. Help, his music is a jail.)

Nobody's POV:

Cheesy sat on the couch of the hotel, slumped down, chin on his palm. His hair hadn't been brushed yet, and he had black shorts and of course, his hoodie on. In front of him, Oj was speaking to a figure.

He slumped further into his seat, not wanting to be seen by anyone. Although he heard questioning murmurs about the man who'd shown up this afternoon, looking for someone.

Cheesy knew that someone the man was looking for very well. Why, you might ask?

Because it was him.

The someone the man was looking for, was him. And he immediately sat up when he saw Oj step aside, whispering something to Paper.

"Hi, Cheeseball!" The man appeared in front of him.

"Hi, dad." He muttered, sinking into his yellow hoodie. "What's with the attitude, Cheese? Don't you wanna hang out with your old man?" His father smiled. "No." Cheesy retorted. "Cmon, get changed." Cheddar beckoned. "Show me around!"

After Cheesy got changed, into a white t-shirt and his shoes, he walked downstairs and saw Trophy staring at his father. "Who is that?" He muttered as Cheesy passed him. "My dad." Cheesy replied, looking up to speak to Trophy. "Oh," He said, pausing. "Be careful, I guess." Trophy murmured and walked off.

Cheesy walked up to his dad. "Who was that you were talking too?" Cheddar asked, looking at his son. "My friend." Cheesy stared blankly. "Does my daughter finally have a boyfriend?" Cheddar asked teasingly.

The father and son were at the lake, Cheddar jabbering endlessly (probably about how much he disliked Cheesy's decision, Cheesy wasn't listening.) And Cheesy staring out onto the glittering lake.

"The lake is pretty." A voice sounded behind them, and Cheesy jumped. Looking behind him, he saw Trophy walking up. "I'm just coming to take photos." He smiled at Cheesy, walking in front of them. Finally, Cheddar went silent. Everything was quiet, nobody was talking.

"You know what, I've got to get home before my dog misses me." Cheddar finally said, standing up and stretching.

Like anybody could ever miss you. Cheesy privately thought. "Okay." He nodded, standing up as well, happy to be able to go to bed. "Bye, my little girl!" Cheddar patted her head and walked off to his car.

"Well, that was rough." Trophy turned around to face Cheesy, who was getting ready to leave. "Mhm," He agreed. "You okay?" The dirty blond said finally, after a long silence. "Yeah, fine!" Cheesy looked up to make eye contact with him. "Come on, let's go back to the hotel." Trophy threw the camera strap over his neck and walked in front of Cheesy.

He stood for a moment, before walking after the other boy.

They got back to the hotel, Cheesy waving goodbye to Trophy and running up the stairs to his room. He collapsed onto his bed, letting out an exasperated groan. He hated his father with a burning passion. Today was the worst.  Finally he threw off his shirt and put on pajamas, cuddling up into his bed.

A whirling room surrounded him. Almost completely dark except for a window that lit some of the room dimly. He walked forward, trying to open the door. "Mama?" He shrieked, twisting the knob every which way. "Mama, I'm stuck!" He cried out, tears filling his eyes and clouding his vision. "Daddy? Daddy, help!" He yelped as he heard familiar footsteps pass by. "Oh, someone help me!" When he looked down, he was wearing typical seven year old girl pajamas. Pink with unicorns and fluffy unicorn slippers on his feet. "Help!" He yelled, hearing his mothers footsteps. Finally he felt the doorknob twist and shake, and a burst of warm light filled the room, with his mothers voided face in front of him. "Oh, mama! I thought I'd die there!" He jumped into the woman's arms. "It's alright, little one. I'm here now. You're okay." She pet her daughters hair, and eventually Cheesy's breath slowed, he'd fallen asleep. "It's alright, your father won't be around much longer to do this to you again." Was the last thing he heard.
