Cheering and clapping fill the stands,the band playing a melody as you stand waiting to go out into the middle of the arena,before beginning the third and final task.
Hermione stands next to you,nervously gripping onto your hand as you wait for Dumbledore to walk you out.Your rub your thumb against her hand lovingly,though, you feel even more nervous when Dumbledore walks over,raising his eyebrows at you and the rest of the champions.
"Shall we?".Dumbledore says and all of you nod.
The music from the band gets louder in your ears as you walk out,Maddie,Cedric and Amos infront of you with Fleur,Krum behind you with Karkaroff.
Once you're out in the middle,the crowd cheers,especially for Cedric as him and Maddie walk out holding hands with huge smiles on their faces.Hermione grips your hand tighter as she hears the crowd and you look down at her,the two of you standing behind Dumbledore where no one in the crowd can see you.
"Everything alright?".You lean down,whispering in her ear.
"Don't die in that maze,Y/N".Hermione tells you,her hand coming up to cup the side of you face as she pulls you down for a quick kiss before anyone can notice.
You smile and the two of you walk out behind Dumbledore.
You watch as Maddie looks up at Cedric,the boy beaming as his girlfriend wraps her arms around his neck,the crowd cheering at the couple.
"I love you".Cedric says,surprising Maddie as her eyes widen.You and Hermione share a look,smirking at each other.
"I love you too".Maddie grins before going up on her tiptoes,kissing Cedric passionately,the crowd of students and families cheering for them and awing,everyone apart from Ron,of course,who has a scowl on his face as the couple share a blissful moment.
The couple pull away from the kiss and Hermione squeezes your hand,smiling at you as she walks up to Maddie,the two girls walking up the steps of the stands towards the rest of your friends.You wave at them and they eagerly wave back.You see your family,too,waving at them as your parents,siblings and grandparents couldn't look prouder.
Suddenly,you feel Dumbledore's hand on your shoulder and the nervousness that you forgot about for a moment comes back.He gives you a firm nod,signaling for you to stand next to Cedric.
"You alright,Ced?".You say as you stand next to the boy and his father,Amos.
"Never been better".Cedric says,beaming as he looks up into the stands,looking straight at Maddie who waves at him,a blush spread on her cheeks.
